Where the Mountains Meet My Heart: "Kankoka Hills 🌄"

Hi guys! Jess is finally back—and this time, I’ll be staying longer because... guess what? It’s vacation time! Yuhooo! 🎉

This is the moment I’ve been waiting for my whole life. Now that vacation is finally here, my greatest desire is to write more here on Hive, spend time reading other people’s stories, and work on improving my grammar and writing skills. ✍️💫

I just can’t believe how fast the days and weeks fly by—seriously!

Looking back, I can truly say that it was only by the glory of God that I survived my first year in college. For me, that’s a huge victory and an incredible blessing. 🙏✨

Now that vacation is just around the corner, before we all go our separate ways to enjoy the break, we made a plan to visit one of the well-known spots here: Kankoka Hills, located in Candijay, Bohol. I’m so excited—it’s actually my first time going there!

First things first—we were still in school!
We had our final exam last Friday, submitted our project, and worked on getting our clearance signed. It was a hectic morning, but we pulled through!

By the afternoon, we finally set off to Kankoka Hills—and of course, we couldn’t miss the chance to snap a selfie during the trip, riding on my classmate’s motorcycle! 🛵📸

Such a cool and memorable way to start the vacation vibes!

I’ve always seen this spot on Facebook, but as time passed, I totally forgot that this was actually part of Kankoka! 😅
So when we arrived and I saw it in person, I This is the area where the details are added—especially the “frontliner eye-catcher” that welcomes visitors.was surprised and immediately asked my classmate to take a picture of me. 📸✨

As you can see, there’s a big building behind me.
To me, it looks like a conference room. I actually forgot to take pictures inside (oops!), but it’s really spacious. The walls are transparent, making it perfect for any occasion or event.
Though I don’t know the full story behind the building yet, it definitely adds something special to the place!

One thing that makes this place so beautiful is that it’s surrounded by mountains of all shapes and sizes.
But what really caught my attention was the peaceful ambiance and the refreshingly cold wind. Even on our way there, the breeze was cool—even though the weather was actually hot!
Such a beautiful and unforgettable feeling. 💨🌄

In this area, there were lots of tourists sitting, eating, cuddling (haha!), and even drinking—while being surrounded by the breathtaking, overlooking view. 🏞️🍃
It really added to the relaxing and fun atmosphere of the place!

I still can’t get over how beautiful this place is.
No regrets at all—I’m so glad I invested my time in coming here. 💚✨

I will definitely go back in this place, in God's perfect timing and His will.

Here we are—the four of us!
We actually call ourselves the Lunch Buddies. One of our members was supposed to come with us, but she had a mission to accomplish—she stayed behind to help one of our classmates who was struggling to build their system.

Even though she couldn’t join, this trip still led to a new and unexpected friendship among us.
No regrets at all—we’re so glad we made it to this place. It’s incredibly relaxing, and as you can probably tell from our faces, the view is just as beautiful as the moment we shared. 💕🌄

This trip to Kankoka Hills was more than just a break from school—it was a time to slow down, breathe deeply, and be reminded of God’s incredible creation. From the cold, refreshing breeze to the peaceful mountains and the laughter shared with friends, every moment was worth remembering.

I may have come here to relax, but I left with new memories, deeper friendships, and a full heart. Truly, no regrets—just gratitude, joy, and awe for the beauty that surrounded us.
