Reunited Over Lunch - A Cozy Catch-up After Almost Two Months Apart
After two months of distance, it took only one shared lunch to remind us that true friendship doesn't fade, it just waits at the table.

After fifty days of not seeing each other since the last day of the school year, it wasn't until today that my colleagues and I saw each other again. I missed these favorite people of mine; we spent our lunch every day together in school, and those were hours of laughter, chit-chat, shared stories, inside jokes, and warm smiles.
This morning, our school head called us for an emergency meeting, and the meeting ended up during lunch break. This guy in green, Jemuel, is the mastermind of all the ambushes and unplanned outings. He grabbed his backpack and told us to hop into his car. We were not surprised, for we already knew where he will gonna take us. It could be in a fast-food restaurant or a cozy dining room. We don't worry so much, Jemuel will pay half of the bill, and the rest will be divided among the four of us. Our wallets survive. Hahahhaha
We ended up at the cozy dining table of Vine Molave. This is a restaurant found on the ground floor of the Vine Hotel. The ambiance was relaxing, the soft lighting, warm tones, and gentle background music were quite inviting and perfect for unhurried conversations.
We ordered unlimited chicken and rice from the menu. The chicken was served in four varied menus: honey glazed, parmesan, garlic chili, and teriyaki chicken. Big bowls of hot rice lay on the table together with pitchers of four seasons juice and a cup of black zambo. Over endless fried chicken, we traded laughs, stories, and casual conversations. We enjoyed the unlimited food and the unlimited sharing that we never noticed the time spent.
The place is cozy, charming, and easy on the eyes, while the food didn't just taste good, it felt like it was cooked with care and meant to be savored. Yet, more than the good food or cozy setting, it was the company that truly made it more special.
In the end, friendship doesn't need grand plans or perfect timing. After 50 days apart, we didn't just pick up where we left off. We reminded each other that time and distance mean little when hearts remain close. That lunch was more than a meal, it was a simple celebration of the friendship we built, one unplanned outing at a time.

Sharing delicious food, stories, laugh and time with your friends was amazing. Not everyday you see each other then you still managed to have time. He is a kind of person na laging positive sa buhay. And he is good at giving bits of advice to her ate and kuya. Parang old soul lang na nasa batang katawan hahahha. And we are grateful to have him as one of our colleagues.

I really envy it because usually close friends will distance themselves once they start a family.
It depends po lalo na if the kabiyak is a bit selfish hahahah. But try to introduce your partner to your friends, who knows he/she will like them too and eager to spend some time with them.
In fact, when we were teenagers, we ate together, slept together and even owed money to small food stalls together, but now my best friend is just a memory.

Unplanned get together is always fun. Nowadays, it's hard to schedule a meet-up with my friends because everybody is busy living their lives. (so am I - hahaha). We only get so see each other once a year, on my birthday, they always make sure to spend time with me. But in your case, it looks so much fun! I agree po. It is always best to spend most or almost all of our time with family but we also have to spend some time with our friends. An hour of laughters, sharing stories and all will last forever. Unforgettable.
