Old but Gold: Fruit Of Labor

Hello, dear Hivers!

Since it's Saturday and I don't have work today, it's time to do the laundry. While preparing my things, I saw my bag and I noticed that the print on my bag was already coming off. Then I suddenly realized that this bag has been with me for six years already! Can you believe that?

While thinking about my bag, I also remembered the slippers I bought at the same time. Guess what? They are still alive and kicking! Haha. After six years, I am still using them until now. Both of them have been with me for a long time, and they are still useful despite their age.

These two things were not just ordinary purchases for me. I bought them when I received a bonus from my previous company. It was given to us because our collection reached 89%, which was higher than the previous performance. By the way, I used to work in the Collection Accounting Department.

That bonus was the result of our hard work, so buying these things made me happy. Until now, whenever I use my bag and slippers, I remember those days and how our efforts paid off. They are simple things, but they have a special meaning for me because they remind me of the fruits of my labor.

Sometimes, we think that expensive things last longer than cheap ones. But based on my experience, I believe that it also depends on how we take care of the things we own. Whether something is expensive or affordable, proper care can help it last for many years.

Of course, some things naturally wear out over time, but taking good care of our belongings can make a big difference. We don't always need to buy new things when the old ones are still useful.

We should learn to value and take care of the things we have. It is not always about how much something costs, but how we use and maintain it. Sometimes, the simplest things can last longer than we expect and carry beautiful memories of our hard work.

How about you, dear Hivers? Do you also have things that you have been using for many years?

Thank you, dear Hivers, for taking the time to read. Until my next blog.
