Have you ever owned something that may not be very expensive, but means so much to you because of the memories attached to it? Have you ever lost something several times, only to find it again in the most unexpected ways? Well, I have a story to share with you about my silver bracelet. Believe it or not, I have owned this bracelet since 2009, and it has been lost and found several times!

I bought this bracelet from my high school subject teacher for only 450 pesos. It may not seem like a big amount today, but back then, 450 pesos was already a lot of money for me. Little did I know that this bracelet would become something so special to me.

The First Time I Lost It

The first time I lost my bracelet was when I helped with a pageant during the Intramurals at my former high school. While assisting my contestant, I did not notice that my bracelet had already fallen off my wrist. I was surprised when I suddenly felt something cold and ticklish on my shoulder. When I looked, I was shocked because it was my bracelet! Luckily, I found it right away.

The Second Time I Lost It

The second time happened when I went swimming in the sea with my family. The water was too cloudy to see clearly underwater, and I forgot to take off my bracelet before swimming.

When I looked at my wrist, I suddenly noticed that my bracelet was gone. I felt sad because I knew how valuable 450 pesos was back then. But I did not give up looking for it.

Even though the water was cloudy, I kept feeling around underwater, hoping to find it. And guess what? I found it again! Isn't that amazing? Despite the poor visibility, I was still able to recover my bracelet.

The Third Time I Lost It

The last time I lost my bracelet was during our San Juan celebration. It is our tradition to celebrate San Juan by swimming in the sea.

That day, we were swimming and jumping in diving board. I was jumping into the water, and I had not even removed my bracelet before jumping. Unfortunately, after one jump, I realized that my bracelet was gone again.

This time, the water was very deep because it was high tide. It was difficult to search for it because I had to dive underwater, and there were also many people swimming, making the water even murkier.

But I did not lose hope. I kept telling myself that I would find my bracelet again.

I decided to go home first and return when the tide was low and there were no more people swimming in that area. When I came back, I carefully looked underwater.

To my surprise, I noticed some fish swimming around in circles, as if they were pecking at something. When I went down to check, I could not believe what I saw. My silver bracelet was lying on top of the seaweed.

I was so happy and amazed to find it once again. Out of all the times I had lost it, this was probably the most unforgettable experience.

A Bracelet Full of Memories

Now you know why this simple silver bracelet means so much to me. It is not just about its price or its appearance. It reminds me of all the unexpected moments when I thought I had lost it forever, only to find it again.

Sometimes, I feel like there is a special connection between me and this bracelet. Maybe it is just a coincidence, but every time I lose it, somehow, I always manage to find it again.

For me, it is more than just a piece of jewelry. It is a little treasure filled with memories that I will always cherish.

How about you, dear Hivers? Do you also have something special that you have owned for many years and cannot bear to lose because of its sentimental value?

Thank you for taking the time to read. See you in my next blog!
