Hi Friends,
Today, my friend and I went for an incredibly long and adventurous walk in the city of Danang, Vietnam. We must have done around 22,000 steps and it felt like it! We were walking from 9 am all the way till 5 pm, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. We stopped at some of the most famous landmarks and soaking in the beauty of the city. We also got to try some of the local food and drinks, and I must say, it was amazing! I'm so glad I got to spend the day exploring this beautiful city and making memories with my friend.
Just a heads up, while I had a great time exploring the city today and snapping photos along the way. I ended up taking over 250 photos, which I'm really excited to share with everyone. It would be way too much to post all of them at once, and I think it would come off as spammy. That's why I'm going to spread out the photos over the next few days, and include a description with each one. It'll be a great way to share the beauty of the city with everyone. I'm really looking forward to it!
Ahhh, here is the morning coffee at around 9:30 am. A little bit after we started, but certainly welcome! The smell of freshly brewed coffee is a comforting reminder that we can make it through the day with a bit of energy and enthusiasm. HAHAHAHA
We started to walk in the tourist district, taking in all the sights and sounds, before deciding to cross the river and explore a local museum. We had heard that the museum held some interesting artifacts, so we were quite excited to find out what treasures it would hold.
This is the bridge we crossed, you may recognize it if you follow my posts.
Every time I see this bridge with its majestic strands, I'm in awe. It's almost surreal - like something out of a painting or a dream. I'm always impressed by its beauty and grandeur, as it stands tall and proud against the backdrop of the sky. It's an iconic symbol of strength and resilience, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way when they look upon it.
On the other side of the bridge is the start of the boardwalk along the river in Danang. It's a great way to take in the sights and enjoy the scenery. You can take a leisurely stroll along the river, admiring the colorful boats and the glimmering water. As you walk along, you can explore the vibrant streets, take in the unique culture, and even sample some of the local cuisine. The boardwalk is a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of Danang. Plus, it's a great way to get to know the city, as you can find out about the history, culture, and attractions along the way.
We also took a stroll into the Cham museum, a fascinating and enlightening place that talks about the rich history of the CHAM people of Vietnam.
My friend and I then started exploring the small back streets of Danang which are not known for their murals, but one district has them! It was really cool to take a peek inside and experience the culture of the city, as well as the vibrant colors of the artwork. W
e spent a little while walking around, taking pictures, and admiring the creativity of the local street artists. It was a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and appreciate the beauty of Danang's hidden gems.
Science says it's actually good to take a break from your usual routine and wander a bit, and even get a bit lost. It's a great way to clear your head and get a new perspective. Not only that, it can help your brain function better, too. Studies show that getting lost helps spark creativity, boosts problem-solving skills, and increases your ability to think outside the box.
I had a great time wandering around the back streets of Danang and admiring the art on the walls - even if some of the murals were in need of a bit of attention. It was really inspirational to see the different designs, colours and messages they all shared, and it was a great way to spend a bit of time.
Armed with excitement, we headed back onto the street, ready to explore even more of the city. Our next stop was a local temple - something of a hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. It was breathtakingly beautiful and incredibly peaceful, and we spent quite a while just soaking in the atmosphere. After that, we continued our journey into the depths of the city, exploring all the nooks and crannies and marveling at the vibrancy of the culture. But I'll have to save the rest of that story for tomorrow's post - I can't wait to share it with you!
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my post and all the awesome photos that came with it. I hope you enjoyed the experience of seeing them and they brought some joy to your day. I'm definitely looking forward to sharing even more of the story and photos tomorrow, so be sure to check back then and see what else I have to show you. There's so much more to come and I'm excited to share it with you all. Thanks again for stopping by, I really appreciate it!
Cheers :)
