How are you today ? I hope and pray, we are all always given health and also happiness in living this life. Anyway, what are you guys doing this weekend? Weekend is one of the times that many people have been waiting for. The majority of people work Monday to Friday, and are given Saturday and Sunday off. Students also get school holidays on weekends. Therefore, everyone who works and has activities from Monday to Friday, will always be happy looking forward to the weekend.
There are many ways for people to spend their weekends. Going to restaurants, weekly shopping, going to cafes or short vacations are various attractive options for many people. On weekends, the streets and malls are crowded with many people and become happy moments for many people. But, ironically, my wife and I rarely go anywhere on the weekends, we prefer to stay at home. Why is it like that ?
First, I am not an office worker. I am a small business owner so I sometimes have to work every day but I can also choose my own days off without having to wait for the weekend. Second, my wife and I don't really like to go to crowded places either. On weekends, all places are crowded. The streets get jammed and sometimes it is very difficult to find a parking space.
Last Saturday night, my wife and I suddenly wanted to experience Saturday night vibes after not having them in a long time. We went to find one food place that suited our taste that night. I decided to take a drive around town, seeing the Saturday night vibe I haven't felt in a long time. That Saturday night the streets were quite busy, but because there were no traffic jams it was fun.
After touring the city, we became hungry. We decided to have dinner at MeatMe Medan, a street food that is currently popular in Medan City, the city where I live. Meatme Medan is one of the local restaurants in the city where I live. Meatme Medan is a steak restaurant with the concept of a tent stall that sells its wares on the side of the road. This steakhouse looks like a street food restaurant, but serves quality steaks like a five-star steakhouse.
When this steak restaurant first opened, the visitors were very busy to be able to eat here. The queue list could wait up to two hours at that time, we waited up to several months for the vibes to disappear and we could eat in peace and not too crowded. And finally, we came to this restaurant last Saturday night to get a delicious steak dish at an affordable price.
The situation of this restaurant was busy when I came, but we were able to get one table that was empty. I ordered a well done Sirloin Meltique Steak, and my wife ordered a medium rare Tenderloin Meltique Steak. We deliberately tried to order different levels of doneness of the steaks, to prove whether this restaurant cooks steaks with the correct level of doneness and not carelessly.
Our orders were served pretty quickly, about 10 minutes after we placed our orders. One portion of steak, equipped with green beans, french fries and mushroom sauce. How does this dish taste? I can't wait to try it, let alone eat steak on Saturday night, it will be the first experience for both of us.
Since we got two different dishes, of course we can taste each other's dishes. First, for Sirloin Meltique Steak with well done level of maturity. In my opinion, my order has a chewier texture but is still comfortable to eat. Unfortunately, due to the overcooking of the flavour, I couldn't get a taste of the meat. So, I have to enjoy each piece of meat with mushroom sauce to make it more delicious.
This medium rare Tenderloin Meltique Steak is our’s favorite. The steak meat is very tender and delicious, in fact I can enjoy every piece of this steak without adding any more mushroom sauce. From my two steak orders, I can confirm one thing at Meat Me Medan, namely that they can cook steaks to the level of doneness desired by their customers.
While enjoying the steak I also enjoyed the view around the busy highway passed by hundreds of cars and motorbikes. I thought, I do have the flexibility to arrange my holidays according to my wishes. However, occasionally enjoying Saturday night and enjoying it together with other people is one thing that is fun too. I think I'll be going out more on the weekends.
