Hello Hivers! I'm just a newbie here. I'm Honey Jean Tamparong, 28 years old. My nickname is 'Honey' but my father called me 'Loy'. Born in Zamboanga del Sur but I grew up in Cagayan de Oro City. for now, I was at Gingoog City for several months. Once in a month I go to CDO to visit my mother and my nephew. Way back my childhood days was just all having fun, playing and doing school works. Get to used always getting all the toys/things I want in short a 'spoiled child'. Until!
This is the only family photo I have on my phone. That is my father 'Domie' a good father/provider, responsible and hardworking. He always make sure he provided all the things we need. But he died at the age of 38 because of cancer. That time I was just 12 years old. During the time that he hospitalized. That's the time I was able to realized what they called the reality of life. Since that I was became mature that life is not in our hands or we have no control of what will be happen. That moment I/we face the hardship of life. I just learned on that time the value of money and need to save some of it so that we don't have to borrow. Just to have some savings from my baon I just walked from home to school and back and forth just to be able save a 10 peso. There are times that we have experienced shortage of money and food. But during that time I was thankful to my uncle (my mother's brother) because he always there for us to help. And he's the only relatives who's ready to help us. Since papa died everything has changed. Then I realized that not all relatives will be there to help you financially, emotionally. But when papa was still alive if they have problems they run to our house and ask for help. Which papa didn't refuse about it and ready to help. When papa is gone and they also gone to visit our house. If you're abundant then you have a relatives. And that's the reality of life.
My mama 'Tata' who was stand alone to raise me and my ate since my papa died. She was just at home take care of us while papa is still alive. She face so many trials just to raise us and still giving her best to give us comfortable life. I'm so proud of her and grateful. And now I was able to payback all her sacrifices she made.
I was working as a pharmacy assistant/cashier. At first few months is not easy especially it needs to familiarize the medicines. But as weeks goes by I was able to adjust it and it made easy for me. From that moment I was enjoyed working on. And help me better with our finances.
Around 2020, during pandemic my employer decided to train me as a medical representative. And it will just lasted for 6 months. Because every time I go inside the hospital to visit the doctors. It always flashback the time that my father was hospitalized and for almost 3 months the hospital was almost our home.
As part of my training. My employer enrolled me at the driving school. And that was the one of the things I'm thankful for to her. And now I was able learn to drive and got my driver licensed.
Now, I'm here in Gingoog City living with my partner. Doing a small business. Still facing the reality of life.
By the way I'm a 'papa's girl' and he's also my bestfriend. I miss him so much.
"Life is full of blessing, surprises, sacrifices, problems and trials."
