The first thing I will share is this very clean water here in Barangay Pagawan Manticao. This is very important for all residents because this is where they get water for cooking, house cleaning, laundry, drinking water and much more. Even when the weather is hot, the spring water keeps flowing and does not dry up. To make it easier to get water, they installed a pipe to unify the water channel and make it easier to get or collect water.
Here in this place the water began to flow and it even reddened under the ground. There are large chunks of rock and wall-like rocks where the water flows. It is already overgrown with moss and to maintain a lot of water, they decided to build a well for the water channel. There are also large trees on the upper part of the area whose roots help to produce a lot of water and the area will not dry out due to the coldness of the area.
This is my reason why the area does not dry out easily, because of the towering and gigantic trees that can be seen here. One of the trees that can be found is the Acacia tree where it grows and grows a lot. Its roots help to prevent soil erosion and have a cool, fresh and beautiful view in the Natural area.
Although there are only a few houses here, there are some infrastructures to be seen such as this Poultry Farm where 300 chickens are cared for here. This is a good plan by the owner to prevent the smell from the Poulty farm from being harmful and away from the homes. They also did not clean the area so that it is not easy for flies to land, made of light materials such as planks, lumbers, bamboo and thatch. The area is surrounded by many trees and other types of plants, maintaining the beauty and freshness of the area because of the trees and plants.
I traveled to the area for almost an hour and I can really see how beautiful this Barangay is. Next I went to my Sitio Along-Alongon where it is located on the Mount of Barangay Paniangan which is also covered by Manticao. To get to the area, it is necessary to ride a motorcycle to Zone 23 and travel on the road or road trail. This site is not accessible by car so it is necessary to walked for a few hours.
I walked for about an hour before I reached the top of the mountain of Sitio Along-Alongon. I also see here how beautiful this site is. Huge and towering mountains including neighboring mountains can be seen on the other side. It is close to Bandera mountain where it is also one of the highest mountains here in Manticao.
Large stones such as Silica stone can be seen here and some of these stones are overgrown with moss, other large stones have lines engraved on the side to indicate that they have rolled down from high places and touched other stones. . In recent times, some of the stones have also been buried in the ground.
There are sharp and triangular shaped stones here on my Mountain where I wandered. An example is this rock I'm holding where the tip of the rock is very sharp. This object or stone is called Bantilis, one of the hard stones that were often used in ancient times. The places I've been to are really beautiful, and if the order and beauty of the surroundings can be maintained, the presence of beautiful scenery and fresh places can be really enjoyed. Thank you very much for visiting my post, good morning everyone.
I remember when we lived in the mountain before and we get water from the jungle like what the people did there. It was cold and fresh. However, after 22 years, people are not using that water anymore. Their way of living there has improved, but they don’t know the importance of the trees. They cut it and sell. When I went back after 22 years, the stream water is draining. People built houses beside the streams. If only they were educated how important the trees are, maybe the stream is still plenty of waters after 22 years and beyond.
That is very sad reality, because of that kind of activities, our Nature are slowly damage and gone.
