Daily Life Post: "Checking and Harvesting Lanzones Fruits"

Our Manggo Tree:

Allow me to share and do a quick tour here in our farm. First, I want to share this old manggo tree here in our place. It was already harvested many times and some of the fruits are already sell to the market place. We called this kind of Manggo tree, PAHO and it is good for exporting and making into a delicious snacks. It already grows many years already, the place was already filled with grass that is why we also clean the surrounded areas and to make the place even more productive.

The Mabolo fruit tree:

This is what we called Mabolo tree. As I checked it, there was still no fruits. The taste of the fruits in this tree is very sweet and some of the people sell this to the market place. This tree gives the place a cool and shade areas and we want to plant more of it here in our Farm. It is only sometimes bare fruits and not in seasonally.

An Old Palm Tree:

This is our Old Palm tree grows near at the waiting shed. We intend to plant this because this was our ornamental plant areas. This is the only plant left and we decided not to cut this plant down. Palm trees are very common here in the place and it is good for interior decorations or landscapes decoration outside of the hotels or any houses.

The Cacao Fruit:

I was also very happy to see this cacao fruits here in the farm. The seeds comes from this fruits can make into tablea, a Natural chocolate made of Cacao. The seeds will dried and cook until the seeds skins will removed. Next, The pell cacao seeds will grind and make a circle shapes, the tablea comes from this fruits is perfect for making coffee and champorado. It can also sell and it cost 5 Pesos per pieces. By getting rid of the insects, we wrapped the fruits with papers or plastics and we only removed it when it is time to harvest.

Resting Place, Waiting Shed:

This is our waiting shed located under the Mabolo tree. It keeps the place cooler and relaxing that is why we decided to built the waiting shed here. The roofs is made of coconut leaves and it is knitted and we called it, Sulirap. This is our tradition if we built huts, waiting sheds and even houses even if it is very hot still it is very cool. My Father tough how to do Sulirap Made of coconut leaves. The chairs and tables is made of round lumber and bamboos and we always rest here when we went to the Farm.

Harvested Time:

It is time to harvest our Lanzones fruits and I am very happy and proud of it. There are lots of Lanzones fruits as I seen above and some of it are already and good to harvest. Some of the fruits are already eaten by the fruit bats, birds and rats.

This is the place were planted our lanzones fruits and it grows very health and it is time to do harvesting. It is slightly tall and we cant easily easily to get the fruits that is why we search a long stick so that we can get it. This fruits can easily pulled down that is why it is not difficult for us to get using a long sticks.

We started to get the fruits and I have a really good time by doing it. I carefully removed the ripe one so that the green lanzones fruits will not also fall down. As I observed, there are lots o ripe fruits on the top places of the tree so I decided to climb up to get it.

This are the Lanzones fruits we gathered and there are enough for everyone. I will sell some of it to the market and for me this is a kind of good business. I have prepared more seeds and by next day I will plant it in a seed tray and when it will be stabled, I will transfer it here in the place.

My fruit of labor and hardworks is already paid with good and bountiful harvest and I am very proud of myself.
