Celebrating my Mother's Birthday

Last Monday, we celebrate my mother's birthday. It's just a simple dinner with my family.

Early this morning, I asked my husband to go to church convent to pay for the offertory mass for my mother's soul. Actually I already sent a message to my friend whose working on the convent about this.

And then, after my duty at work. I went to the market. I bought pancit noodles. Then, I went home. I didn't cooked the "Pancit" yet because it's still early. I will prepare it at dinner.

At around 5 in the afternoon. My sister arrived. It's already her off duty at work. Then we went to the cemetery to lit a candle to chapel. Yes only at the chapel, because my mother's grave is in Bohol. For those who knew me here, they know that my mother died in Bohol, because it is were she came from.

Then after that, we went home. I prepared the ingredients for the pancit and for our viand for that dinner. I decided to have Adobo. And I asked my sister to bought a cake.

On the other hand, My husband helped me cooked pancit and adobo, while the little kid is keep asking me to have a selfie. Since my husband is helping me we finished it right away.And after 30 minutes I think were already done. I prepared the table so that we can have our dinner.

After we ate our dinner, we had a little drink. Just coconut wine or "tuba" as we called it here in our place. We had more stories to chat with my cousin. We laugh and enjoy the rest of the night.

It's a beautiful celebration that we had. I'm happy but there are some part that I feel lonely too. We are celebrating but the celebrant is not with us physically, but I know my mom is just right here beside me always. I'm still longing for her, but I need to accept it.It's been 10 years already that we are celebrating her birthday without her. My mom was already in a good hands together with my father.
