Hello everyone, I want to share our experience on the farm.
We are now finally harvesting our rice, after 120 days of planting, working, and hoping. This is not just a simple story. This is what really happens in the life of a farmer like me and my husband. From planting to harvesting, it takes time, strength, and faith. I want to take you with me, so you can see the real life of harvester and grower of rice.
This is the day we checked the rice field. We walked around to see if the rice is ready to harvest. When I looked closely, I saw that the rice grains were golden and full. The stalks were blending because the grains were heavy.
I was really happy to see that the rice plants were healthy and beautiful. No major pests, no big floods. The rice grew well. I told myself, “This is the day we have been waiting for.”
Even though it was very hot, the harvesters continued working. No one complained, because this is the time where we see the fruit of our hard work. Everyone had energy and excited, even under the sun. We were all smiling because at last it’s harvest time.
This picture shows how fast everything goes now. Because of the harvester machine, we don’t need to do everything by hand. In just a few seconds, the palay/rice goes directly into the sack.
We used to work all day to finish one small part. But now, with this machine, we can finish the whole field faster and easier.Technology really helps farmers like us. It saves us time and energy, but we still need to be present, watchful and working alongside the machines.
Carabaos carrying the rice sacks. Even though we have machines, we still use carabaos here in our farm. There is a group in our community that brings carabaos to help carry the sacks from the field to the road. The roads are muddy sometimes, and machines cannot enter. That’s why carabaos are bg help to us.
As a farmer, I realized something, even if the world changes, carabaos will always be important in our lives. They are not just helpers. They are part of our farm family.
I called the workers and told them that they will eat a lunch. I cooked rice and adobo duck and chicken. I’m thankful to the laborers who worked with us under the sun. This is my small way to say thank you to them.
This is the most exciting part. We counted all the sacks after the harvest. We counted all the sacks after the harvest. **We got 256 sacks of rice from our 2.5 hectares farm.
We were very happy with the results. But of course, we also thought about the price. The price of fresh rice in our province today is only 16.80 pesos per kilo, it’s low compare previous year we sell about 22 pesos per kilo. But even if the price is low, we are still thankful and blessed. We had a good harvest and that’s what matters most.
Thank you so much for supporting and reading my story. It’s mot easy to share farm life because some people don’t really see the hard work behind every sack of rice, I hope you felt the real story of a farmer today. I hope you will remember us every time you eat rice at your table.
As a farmer, I learned that patience is everything. You cannot rush plants to grow. You need to take care of them, protect the, and pray for good weather.
Every grain of rice has a story.
A Story of sweat, prayer and hope.
To my fellow farmers, let us continue. Sometimes, prices are low, Sometimes, harvest is small. But our work is important. Don’t give up.

Please support local farmers. Behind every spoon of rice is a farmer who worked hard under the sun, waited 120 days and trusted in the land. This is my life; this is my joy and This is farming. 💛

Congratulations for your harvest of rice, its good you were able to have a good harvest but sad because the price of the fresh Rice or raw rice is very low. I suggest you would have just milled it then sell it by sacks. Do not sell it to a buyer if that's the only price.
Thank you so much! We really thankful for the good harvest. but it's true, the price of fresh rice is very low now, and it's sad. We milled some of the rice, but only for our consumption. Thanks again for the helpful advice. 😍
The patience, hard work and faith you and your family put into growing rice is truly inspiring. Even with the challenges of low prices, your gratitude and positivity shine bright.
Thank you so much! it's not always easy but your encouragement gives more strength to keep going despite the tough times.
You're so welcome! Keep going!💕
