Once again here at the Farm taking care of the our Farm animals here. It is really tired but enjoyable and it needs to be done so I have a productive day spending here. First, early in the morning I always checked my chicks at the cage made of nets. We decided to create this kind of cage so harmful animals like snakes and wild cats can't eat the chicks and to keep them secured. This is only a kind of simple DIY cage made of nets and bamboo pieces as floors and round timbers as the base or the foundation of the structure. Now, we already used it and put this little chicks of mine inside at the cage.

We also made this simple light easy open cage made of bamboos also. This kind of structure is good for the hens that newly hatched the eggs. Small chicks can free to run outside of the cage and can be abled to go inside as well. It is also made of small branches of trees nailed with bamboo pieces so the hen and the chicks are totally secured. Gladly my hen hatched 7 little chicks and I really want to take care of it so our chickens will be multiplied and add more.

We also have this little and cute pig and our pig is very enjoyed and feel comfortable for the cage. Gladly we have piglet here and we brought it last month. Our concrete pig pen has finally used it. To kept our farm animals safe from dangerous animals, we also cleaned the surrounding place so snakes wont come closer to the pig pen and also at the chicken pen. We also installed light bulbs and prepared lots of water. We also give lots of water to our piglet so the pig will feel cool and comfortable even in a hot sunny day.

Water is very important here at the farm that is why we also installed manual water pump. This will help for us here everytime when there is a water interruptions, aside of that watering for animals and plants are very important. We built this manual water pump 3 years has already past and we decided to placed shorted so we can sit and feel comfortable while pumping this thing to get lots of water. My Father also constructed solid concreted so we can avoid of muddy everytime when fetched water here. We also have concrete tub so we can stored lots of water for our Cows and they can be abled to drink water at the tub. But due to intense heat happens here, our concrete tub was already cracked and it needs to renovated before can be abled to used it again.

Some of the cows we have here are freely to explored at the farm. We let them to walked free without tying the rope so they can eat lots of grass. But when afternoon came, we tied the rope of the cows before giving them water using big pails.

After checking and taking care of our farm animals, I decided to cooked and boiled this banana. Our Neighbor gave this banana yesterday and it will be very perfect snacks. Sometimes we don't eat rice during at lunch when we boiled bananas after few minutes, our delicious snacks was already served and we have lots of enjoyable time eating while watching outside at the balcony.

It’s really important to have a proper cage for the chickens because they’re one of a snake’s favorite targets. We actually had a chick get eaten by a snake before. Imagine sis, we live in a coastal area then nakaabot pa dun yung snake, how much more sa farm nyo. Kaya mas maganda yung ginawa nyo.

The little chicks are adorable, and the DIY cages are such a practical idea.
Wishing you many more happy and productive days at the farm.
