Another tiring but enjoyable moment I already did here in our place. This morning we went to the farm just to looked for any coconuts fallen and scattered to the Ground, aside of that we also looked for lots of firewoods while the weather here is still sunny. Its been few days since we did not visit this small farm of ours here in Barangay Punta Silum and expected that there are lots of coconuts can be seen and found. From our house, it only takes few minutes before reaching the place. It is not really far from our house but because of a busy situations, we cannot still visited the place few days already. Bringing the tools used to cut dried branches and coconut palms and also big empty sack so that we can carried it very easily going back home.

While I was walking going to our small farm, I passes by here in this area where full of tall Molave trees can be found. It was quite very relaxing because of the shade but this area here is not ours and it is owned by our neighbor. Our neighbor decided not to cut this trees down so the place will remain cool and the soil wont be dry very quickly, this is the only shortcut road here going to our farm and I am very thankful for our neighbor to give way for us.

This simple copra drier structure really needs to reconstruct because by next month we will going to harvest those coconut here and produced lots of copra. This is only a simple structure were round timbers and coconut palms placed and a big hole under of the structure where we can burned the husks so the coconuts will fastly dry. As I checked it, there are only small parts of the structure that needs to reconstruct and expected that it wont cost lots of time.

I also checked our young coconut plants and few manggo trees here. Our Manggo was producing lots of fruits last Month and now it needs to clean the surrounding areas removing wild grass. We planted almost a hundred of manggo trees and all of it are growing bigger and wider producing lots of fruits every season.

I felt sad about some of young coconuts we planted here, because of the intense heat some of it are totally dry. Leaves are turned to brown color and the roots and stems are also dry. We planted fifty young coconuts here and 6 of it are already dry and needs to replace new one.

The next thing I did was to removed those coconut meat at the shell. I'm noticed that some of the coconuts are also dry because of the intense heat, I decided to broke some of it and I found out that the meat inside of this coconut are already dry. Using a bolo, I carefully removed it from the shell and I put in the sack.

I was lucky to visit the place because there are lots of dry coconut palms, I carefully removed the leaves and cut into shorter pieces so I can put it in the sack very easily. Cutting it into short pieces can put lots of it in the sack.

Very dry coconuts that has been exposed by sunlight many Months already are also perfect used for firewoods. I also included it and to keep it more place inside the sack, I broke it into two pieces and removed those dust inside of it. I already had an experienced by broking this kind of thing and the last time was very scary because there is a small snake inside so it is better to broke it very carefully.

Finally, after few hours of looking for any firewoods to used I filled this sack with lots of firewoods. Those are dry and ready to used it by cooking food for meals. I placed and arranged it very carefully so it can fit lots of it inside of this big sack.

I also gathered almost 50 pieces of coconuts and I felt very happy because we have lots of it to harvest by next month. I decided to placed away from exposing at the sun so it wont dry also. After that, we decided to went back home bringing lots of firewoods. We will come to visit back on next month for coconut harvesting.

Until next post, have a nice day to all of us.
