Beautiful Sunday- Amateur Swimming Competition
It's not me who joined the competition but my two daughters joined it. The youngest is the one who love swimming at 9 years old and my eldest daughter was challenged to joined so they are the delegations from their school.
Icy got bronze for third place in freestyle 100 meters competition.
How God Spares from Earthquake?
Their swimming competition was held in General Santos City. It happened a day before the earthquake hit General Santos/Saranggani province in Mindanao. They supposed to say until Monday for a chance to look the beautiful place in Gensan but because Monday is the first day of school, all of them went back home after all the events. Thanks God kept them all away from that tormenting moment and devastation.We knew that Gensan was the epicenter ot that tragedy.
Well, I am so happy that my eldest got bronze medal. It's better than nothing. Some of them never won even my youngest didn't win. Her favorite backstroke style swimming was scheduled last from all events that made her already so tire but happily, she improved her skills shorten it fro 51 seconds from 57 seconds before during their free trial at home. She got silver before the amateur event and no medal during the final competition because it was done with many players around Mindanao. She ranked only #6 that day. What is important, they are willing to do it instead of playing mobile phones during vacant time last summer.
I was not with my kids. Their mother went with them. I had appointment and training scheduled. We never fixed our relationship as husband and wife but we are hands on as parent to them.
