Welcome to the ASEAN Hive Community's "ASEAN Hiver Of The Week" post, where I (@justinparke) highlight one of our community members.
Β Β Β This week's featured ASEAN Hiver is a worthy recipient not only because he is a compassionate friend to Thai canines, but because he just recently upped his delegation to 5,000 HP, further skyrocketing our community voting power and ability to keep this community thriving.
Β Β Β If you ever find yourself traveling through Krabi, Thailand, linking up with this gentleman's organization may be worth your consideration. During the day you'll likely find him on the streets and in the local pagodas providing care, compassion and usually a few treats too. Spaying/neutering ranks high on the list of services, but all kinds of medical care have been funded and/or provided by Krabi Animal Welfare.
Β Β Β Although it's mostly street and wild dogs he's after, I've seen this man helping kitties and other critters too. Dogs all over this town know the smell and face of @kbv.animalwelf, and for good reason. He has surely deposited a large amount of good karma in the metaphysical bank via his doggy deeds, and I would say he's also won the hearts of many ASEAN Hivers.
Β Β Β Okay folks, consider dropping by the @kbv.animalwelf blog and smashing the upvote, there is an active post at the moment. Also you can smash the upvote on this post as he is 20% beneficiary. We hope his compassionate works continue and that he is able to keep us ASEAN Hivers updated through his posts.
Β Β Β Delegators are valued members of our community, so each @asean.hive curation post (other than the main weekly delegator raffle post) features a mini πββdelegator raffle in the footer, with the winner receiving 15% post beneficiary.
That's awesome! I've looked at his blog a few times before and it is truly wonderful what their organization does. We have similar orgs up here in Chiang Mai and I tried to volunteer but they are very strict in Chiang Mai and I had to get a special visa just to donate my time. Something about how my volunteering could be taking a job away from a Thai person.
Things are kind of bureaucratic like that here too, but it's okay to volunteer while on work visa, but a big no-no to work on a volunteer visa. Well, the last few years have nearly crushed international NGOs in Cambodia, and now the longest visa a volunteer can get is 3 months, so basically you have to commit to a multi-day trip to Phnom Penh 4 times a year, very inconvenient and discouraging.
I agree, our man in Krabi is a legend, and it's obvious he loves his work.
It's amazing friends who have displayed pictures in the ASEAN community. I also really like to see the picture display that there is a pretty good dog.And I congratulate my friends who have been featured here.
Even better if you read the post and see what he does for dogs in Krabi, so much more than just dog pics.
I'm so happy that there are still people who loves to take care of the animals. Even if they are not like us humans, but they have also hearts and feelings of being hurst, mad, or sad.
I agree, and this week's featured ASEAN Hiver is a very compassionate gentleman, well-suited for his job.
Dude really can do your job very good job. Truly every human being must love and care for all animals. And this is true humanism
He is truly dedicated to the canines of Krabi, and I admire him for his selfless deeds.
