Greetings Hivers, @justinparke here with another new ASEAN Hive Community Challenge for you all, πΎ Rice Is Life π, all about the grain that is king in Southeast Asia.
Β Β Β Rice is life in many parts of Asia, particularly so in Southeast Asia where the climate is perfect for this dietary staple. From the field to the table, there are many steps involved in growing rice. There are even more ways to prepare and consume this humble grain, and for this challenge I have no specific idea in mind other than the challenge entries must be about rice in some way.
Β Β Β You could share various pics of rice, from the field to the market and even fried rice on a plate. Recipes involving rice are welcome, and you can even show us your rice field and tell us about it. Rice milk, rice crackers, rice flour, so many products contain rice, and simply showing all the products in your country that contain rice would be a good entry. Creativity is welcome in this challenge because it is so open, so let's give thanks to the grain that fuels Southeast Asia.
Β Β Β Via many blog posts published in ASEAN Hive through the years, I have become somewhat familiar with the places our community members live. After some thinking I realized I'd done village tours, but never anything specifically focused on the places we lay down to rest at night. This challenge provided me with more insight into the lives of our community members, and it showcased things like creativity and gardening skills. Please have a look at the winners and drop by any post that grabs your attention.
This is the place where I, my parents and our furbaby Arashi live. We are only renting this place, but the landlady is my father's friend, so we're free to make some changes in the house. Outside our fence are our lovely ornamental plants. Some of them used to be in the backyard, but since we started our vegetable garden, we transferred most of the ornamental plants here.
Describing our place makes me annoyed, specially now that it's been raining cat's and dogs on our place. The inside and outside of our house has water inside and it's not easy to deal with. I live here for two decades and every year our place is turning into a mess. I couldn't forget the first time I saw it, like I also couldn't also forget how it looks now. Some bloggers even documented our place because it's really far different now compared to before.
For today's blog, I would like to share our simple house here in the Province. I lived here almost 29 years already and this helps us to protect us from bad people, rains, heat from the sun and other Natural phenomenon. With the initiative also to my Father, our house were built. Our house is located near at the River and even it is very dangerous for us specially during floods, but we keep ourselves living near it.
Β Β Β @Ecency is as a sponsor of our weekly challenges thanks to the lovely @melinda010100, who reached out to me with an offer of`1,000 Ecency points per month. With roughly 4 challenges a month, I've set aside 250 points for each challenge in addition to the usual post beneficiary rewards.
Β Β Β Delegators are valued members of our community, so each @asean.hive curation post (other than the main weekly delegator raffle post) features a mini delegator raffle in the footer, with the winner receiving 15% post beneficiary.
Congratulations to all the top three winners @tegoshei @usagigallardo015 @godslove123. All your hinbels abodes are beautiful because you are in it. For me it doesn't matter how big or small a house is, it's the people who are living in it and making it a home where good values, love, respect, kindness, honesty, generosity, fear of God abounds.
We have a Filipino proverb,
"Aanhin mo ang palasyo kung ang nakatira ay kuwago, mas nanaisin
ko pa ang bahay kubo na ang nakatira ay tao."
In English, The house does not make a man.
Salamat po... π₯°π₯°π₯°
Thank you ate.
I like this proverb and totally agree, some good ole' Filipino wisdom.
Where does such a beautiful idea come from? He he he A really great theme has been chosen this time, even though we have been treating rice as a part of life since the beginning. By the way Congratulations all.
Very true, without rice life would be very different. I could survive on rotis and parathas though π.
