Greetings ASEAN Hivers, @justinparke here with a new challenge for those who have a spirit house or know how to find one because they are found throughout Southeast Asia.

What is more ubiquitous in Southeast Asian than a spirit house? Whether folk, animist, Muslim, Buddhist, or Hindu, most Southeast Asian cultures and religions have some form of a spirit house. From the Philippines to Myanmar there is always some form of this small shrine, usually in honor of the spirits protecting the place and/or to honor and not offend any local spirits that may be in the area. Of course there are many more purposes than I have mentioned, but that is the general idea of these often ornate macro homes.

If you have a spirit house on your property or apartment you can chare share when it was made or installed, and if you did it or someone else. The purpose, the design style, the cost, the supplier, all things are worthy information to add to your post. You can even document various spirit houses in your village or town because often times bigger businesses and bigger homes often have different spirit houses than working class folks or small businesses. Diversity is the spice of life, enjoy and I look forward to your entries.

This was an inspiring challenge, and the entries ranged from personal health goals to financial ones and more. I hope 2026 has something better in store for all of us because it sure doesn't seem things are going well globally for most humans. Please take some time to consider supporting these 4 outstanding winning posts and upvote either this post or an author comment within any of these 4 posts because it's likely the posts themselves have reached payout by the time you are reading this.
