Hello everyone, especially to all plant lovers out there! 🥰
As I mentioned in my previous post, one of our goals here in the countryside is to plant some vegetables. We are so lucky to have this huge vacant lot that our landlady entrusted us with, and she allows us to do whatever we want to make it productive and clean for as long as we are comfortable and happy in doing so.
Many of you already know that my family and I really love gardening, and that is one of our sources of joy and family bonding.
Last month, we started sowing some seeds, and some of them grew fast into seedlings. In fact, we already transferred the okra to a wider space.

The other day, which was late afternoon, my husband and I tried to transfer the lettuce to their own plot that we prepared, but all of a sudden it was raining, so we stopped planting the lettuce seedlings.
But then, yesterday, the weather was pretty good in the morning, so my daughter @tegoshei and I decided to finish what my husband and I did the other day.

However, my daughter doesn't like the arrangement of the seedlings we planted, heheh. The distance was too close to each other, so we adjusted the distancing.

So, here's the lettuce now in its own bed of soil. I really hope and pray that they will all grow healthily.
Aside from lettuce and okra, the other seedlings, the tomatoes, cherry tomato, bell pepper, green chili, and eggplant are a bit bigger now and are ready to be transferred individually. We will do it in the coming days if the weather is good and if we have enough time, especially my daughter.

We also gave some seedlings to our neighbors. Manang Lourdes was so happy when we gave it to her that morning. The other neighbor was already gone for work when my husband brought the seedlings to their house. So, we gave it to her yesterday evening, and she's happy too.
I will surely share with you here the development of our vegetable plants, and when we can transfer the other seedlings already.
Planting is really a joy for us; it seems to be therapeutic and can reduce stress. And I believe planting, especially vegetables, as they are one of our food sources, can be deeply rewarding and satisfying.
Seeing the tiny seeds we sowed, eventually sprouting and then turning into tiny seedlings and becoming big and healthy and ready to harvest is really fulfilling and a nourishing experience or feeling for both our body and soul.
Gardening really connects us to nature. That's why I really love gardening, even though we were in a limited yard in the city before. I'm so grateful to be here in the countryside.
I'll just end my post here and see you around. Thank you so much for stopping by and for the effort in reading my post. Bye for now, and God bless.😊🙏💖
This reminds me of our own gardening time as a family. We also move seedlings when the weather is good and sometimes rain stop us too. Planting with our children makes it more meaningful and fun.
Big and wide space means you can plant a lot of veggies or whatever you want in there po. And taking care of them can be a good and fun family bonding din po ano. (ʘᴗʘ✿)
Your landlady was nice ah! Letting you used that vacant land is such a huge help.
