Hello everyone especially to the active greenthumb members of @hivegarden community, it's me again @clarabels how are you this fine Monday, I hope you are all doing well and wishing you all have a blessed weekdays ahead 😊 and for today's hive garden blog, Im very excited to share with you all about my husband's little garden located at Puntacruz, Maribojoc, Bohol Philippines.

This Monday, since my husband is still on his day off, we decided to go for a short walk and check the small garden my husband and I created for the past weeks, by the way we created a small garden on our vacant lot right by the roadside.

During our visit to my husband's small garden, we were glad and excited to see that the vegetables we recently planted especially the eggplant and water spinach had started to grow well☺️.

It’s funny how our toddler, Baby Naiah, is so curious about everything especially the vegetables we’re planted hehe.

In this picture, my husband and I are laughing because our toddler kept pointing at the papaya tree, wanting to eat the fruit😅 however, my husband was explaining that it couldn't be eaten yet because it was still young and not yet ripe❤️.

The interesting part is that we didn't actually intend to have a papaya tree right here and surprisingly it just suddenly sprouted on its own😊 well it's still a blessing.

The same thing happened to our banana tree it didn't escape our toddler's curiosity😂. Anyway, bananas are actually our toddler's favorite fruit and we have quite a few banana plants in the area specifically in my husband's garden but this is the only one that has started bearing fruit for this month 😊.

So, these are the eggplants we planted last week, hopefully, they grow even more and bear a bountiful harvest, just like the last one. 😊

At this time, my toddler was happily watching the eggplants and we also put a barrier around them so the chickens wouldn't scratch them up🙂.

Overall, visiting our small garden brings us great joy, it is wonderful to see the improvement of the small plot we cultivated, and it is a huge help to the family, ensuring we have healthier food to eat everyday. The tools and methods we use aren't fancy, but thanks to this small scale effort, we no longer need to buy eggplant and water spinach at the market, allowing us to save on our weekly budget🫶.

These are the plants we currently have in our garden, and we plan to add more next month since it keeps raining this month😊.
