In this post, we take a break from the main courses and cuisine and enjoy some desserts.
Met up recently with two friends and as both of them just had their birthdays, we decided to get some cakes to celebrate the occasion. We chose Nesuto because it was nearby, but they are actually very well known for their quality and creativity of their cakes and desserts. The cakes don't come cheap, but I think they are worth it, especially for special occasions like birthday celebrations.
The first one we chose was Whiskey Chocolate Cake. An interesting combination and even though I don't really take alcohol, I actually enjoyed it. It's not as intense as the drink instead, and pairing it with chocolate gives it another dimension for the taste buds.

The second one we chose was Strawberry Crumble Tart. This was something lighter, and definitely more conventional. Everything from the crumble to the cream was perfect and I think this would suit people who just want to enjoy a simple yet quality dessert.

Unfortunately, amidst the celebrations and the enjoyable catch up, I didn't note down the costs. What mattered more was we enjoyed the cakes and had a good time!
