Hello again!
My previous post about Baan Langsuan generated some engagement so I thought, why not continue this series! Haha!
This was actually the same day as I had Bann Langsuan. I saw this place on social media prior to my trip, and it so happened to be near my usual massage place, so we decided to visit the restaurant after our massage. It's Lily Fu's! The cuisine is Asian fusion with Thai, so it's quite interesting to see how creative they could get!
Firstly, I must say the menu was very extensive, and there were so many dishes that I wanted to say, but we only had two people and there was only that much we could order.
The first dish was Lily's Purse. To help with the description, I have extracted some information from their menu. Hehe. It was definitely quite interesting, but there were so many ingredients packed into a little purse, and I could only taste the shrimp and black truffle to be honest. Interesting combination but not spectacular in my view.

The second one was Bao. This was quite interesting and it reminded me of the Hainanese Chicken Rice back in my country. Once again, it was good but the taste was very familiar and hence predictable.

Next up, Thai Style Crab Omelette! I actually am not a fan of crab stuff, but it was quite highly rated so I just went for it! It's expensive given that there's crab meat inside. One couldn't go wrong with omelette, and I enjoyed this dish overall.

As we continued on our seafood spree, this was Poached Seabass. Seabass is always a must try in Bangkok or any Thai restaurant because there were so many ways to cook it and the meat is so nice to eat. I was a little worried about the spice initially but I think it was manageable and the sauces were quite refreshing! This was good!

Basil Pork Fried Rice is also one of the popular dishes when we dine in Bangkok. Even though this dish was not as colourful or flavourful compared to the earlier dishes, this was done quite well.

Finally, my favourite component! It's not just Mango Sticky Rice, but it's Lily's Mango Sticky Rice! Like what the description said, this is Thailand's most famous dessert. I really liked this dish because everything was just perfect, from the glutinous rice to coconut sorbet to the mango and coconut milk. Yums!

We also had juices on the side and they were fine.

All in all, the food definitely lived up to its hype. Even though not all the dishes were WOW level (realistically not possible too), I enjoyed the dining experience and the service was pretty good too. And unsurprisingly, this was one of the most expensive meals I had in Bangkok in all my years of visiting the city, considering there was seafood such as crab and seabass, and we ordered dessert. For those who are curious, the total bill after taxes came up to slightly more than THB 2,100, which is around USD 63. Which is fine, for a once in a blue moon kind of dining experience!
P.S. In case anyone is wondering, this sharing is not sponsored in any way.
