When I started playing Splinterlands, one of the cards that I didn't understand why it had a high value and why many players used it was Doctor Blight, but that changed when I finally decided to use it in my battles to understand how it works and all I can say is that it is an incredible card to have as an ally.

To better understand how Doctor Blight works, I will give a brief summary of the card and its uses.

Doctor Blight is a card with a magic attack, its mana cost is 4 and it has 5 abilities at its maximum level which are: Affliction, Camouflage, Poison, Scavenger and Weaken.

The ability that will make Doctor Blight a difficult card to defeat is Scavenger, but first let's talk about all of his abilities.

Affliction - With the Affliction ability, Doctor Blight will have a 50% chance to cut the healing of the card he attacked. When this happens, the card affected by the Affliction ability will not be able to heal itself or receive healing during the battle.

Camouflage - With the Camouflage ability, Doctor Blight will not be targeted by attacks until he is in the first position (with the exception of attacks from the Scattershot ability).

Poison - With the Poison ability, Doctor Blight will have a 50% chance to poison the card he attacks, a poisoned card receives 2 damage at the start of each round until the end of the battle.

Scavenger - With the Scavenger ability, Doctor Blight will receive +1 life every time a card is defeated in battle.

Weaken - With the Weaken ability, Doctor Blight will reduce the life of all my opponent's cards by -1 while he is in battle.

Now that we know how Doctor Blight works, I will explain why he becomes a powerful card in battle. Basically, the reason why Doctor Blight becomes a good card in battle is because of his Camouflage and Scavenger abilities. Since Doctor Blight will not be targeted by attacks until he is in first position, he will be able to increase his health with his Scavenger ability and depending on how the battle unfolds, the amount of health he gets can be unrealistic to the point where he becomes even stronger than a tank card.

This was a battle I had recently and although my Doctor Blight is not at max level, he is still very useful at level 3 because he already has the Camouflage and Scavenger abilities. At the beginning of the battle, when I saw my opponent's cards, I thought it would be an easy battle, but after a few attacks, I saw my cards being decimated and my hope disappearing. However, the game quickly turned around and I still had my greatest hope in the battle, which was Doctor Blight, who after just 1 round went from 4 life to 11 life, so at that moment I was sure that victory would be mine.

It may not seem like the most exciting battle of all, but having Doctor Blight in the battle with so much life made me relax because I knew that even in the worst of situations, my opponent would need a miracle to defeat me. This is just one example of how incredible Doctor Blight can be. I've had many other battles in which he saved me from defeat over and over again, but I don't have the link to the battles, so I used this one as an example.

Since I play in the Diamond and Champion league, the ideal would be to rent Doctor Blight at level 4, but his price is usually high at this level, so I like to rent him at level 3 because at this level he is also a great choice for battles.

Quando comecei a jogar Splinterlands, uma das cartas que não entendia porque tinha um valor alto e porque muitos jogadores utilizavam era o Doctor Blight, mas isso mudou quando finalmente decidi utilizar ele em minhas batalhas para entender como ele funciona e tudo que posso dizer é que ele é uma carta incrível para se ter como aliado.

Para entender melhor como o Doctor Blight funciona, eu vou fazer um breve resumo da carta e suas utilidades.

O Doctor Blight é uma carta com ataque mágico, seu custo de mana é 4 e ele possui 5 habilidades em seu level máximo que são: Affliction, Camouflage, Poison, Scavenger e Weaken.

A habilidade que vai tornar o Doctor Blight em uma carta difícil de ser derrotada é a Scavenger mas primeiro vamos falar sobre todas as suas habilidades.

Affliction - Com a habilidade Affliction o Doctor Blight vai ter 50% de chance de cortar a cura da carta que ele atacou, quando isso acontecer a carta afetada por habilidade Affliction não vai conseguir se curar ou receber cura durante a batalha.

Camouflage - Com a habilidade Camouflage o Doctor Blight não será alvo dos ataques até que esteja na primeira posição (com exceção de ataques da habilidade Scattershot).

Poison - Com a habilidade Poison o Doctor Blight vai ter 50% de chance de envenenar a carta que ele atacar, uma carta envenenada recebe 2 de dano no inicio de cada round até o final da batalha.

Scavenger - Com a habilidade Scavenger o Doctor Blight vai receber +1 de vida sempre que uma carta for derrotada na batalha.

Weaken - Com a habilidade Weaken o Doctor Blight vai reduzir em -1 a vida de todas as cartas do meu adversário enquanto ele estiver na batalha.

Agora que conhecemos como o Doctor Blight funciona eu irei explicar porque ele se torna uma carta poderosa na batalha. Basicamente o motivo do Doctor Blight se tornar uma boa carta na batalha é por causa das habilidades Camouflage e Scavenger, como o Doctor Blight não será alvo de ataques até que esteja na primeira posição, ele será capaz de aumentar sua vida com a habilidade Scavenger e dependendo de como a batalha se desenrolar a quantidade de vida que ele conseguir pode ser surreal ao ponto dele se tornar até mesmo mais forte que uma carta tank.

Essa foi uma batalha que eu tive recentemente e apesar do meu Doctor Blight não esta no level máximo, ele ainda é muito útil no level 3 porque já possui as habilidades Camouflage e Scavenger. No inicio da batalha ao ver as cartas do meu adversário eu achei que seria uma batalha fácil, mas após poucos ataques eu vi as minhas cartas sendo dizimadas e a minha esperança desaparecendo, mas jogo se reverteu rapidamente e eu ainda tinha a minha maior esperança na batalha que era o Doctor Blight que após apenas 1 round ele passou de 4 de vida para 11 de vida, então naquele momento eu já tinha a certeza de que a vitória seria minha.

Pode não parecer a batalha mais emocionante de todas mas ter o Doctor Blight na batalha com esse tanto de vida me fez relaxar porque eu sabia que mesmo na pior das situações o meu adversário precisaria de um milagre para me derrotar. Esse é apenas um exemplo de como o Doctor Blight pode ser incrível, eu já tive muitas outras batalhas em que ele me salvou da derrota varias e varias vezes mas não tenho o link das batalhas então usei essa como exemplo.

Como eu jogo na liga diamante e Champion, o ideal seria alugar o Doctor Blight no level 4, mas o preço dele normalmente é alto nesse level então gosto de alugar ele no level 3 porque nesse level ele também é uma ótima escolha para as batalhas.
