[EN/PT-BR] A Strategy for the Melee Mayhem Rule

When the Melee Mayhem rule is in battle, I try to use a strategy focused on monsters with melee attacks because they are the most powerful in Splinterlands and with the Melee Mayhem rule I can use them in any position.

I know I just explained how the Melee Mayhem rule works in battle but I will leave a brief explanation with an image below.

In the Melee Mayhem rule, monsters with melee attacks can attack in any position.

For those who don't know, monsters with melee attacks are only able to attack in the first position, but there are rules and abilities that help them attack in other positions and the Melee Mayhem rule is one of them.

I will use this battle as an example, in it I use one of my favorite strategies for the Melee Mayhem rule with the death deck.

This is a battle that happened in one of the Brawls I participated in and in it I used 4 monsters with melee attacks, my strategy is very simple:

• I used the Astral Entity as a summoner, it will decrease the armor of enemy monsters by -2, it will give the Dodge ability to allied monsters and it will revive 1 of the allied monsters.

I like to use this summoner because it increases the chances of my monsters dodging attacks and makes enemy monsters more vulnerable since they will have less armor or none at all.

• Harklaw is the monster I selected in the first position, it will be a great defense against physical attacks and in this battle this will be very useful since there is the Melee Mayhem rule so the chances of my opponent using several monsters with melee attacks are high.

• Cursed Windeku is the monster I selected in the second position, it will be my secondary defense and will also be very useful against melee attacks since it has the Thorns ability.

• The Revealer is the monster I selected in third position, it has the Stun ability and this means that it has a 50% chance of applying Stunned to the monster it attacks and leaving that monster unable to attack or use any ability for 1 round.

• The Trapp Falloway is the monster I selected in fourth position, it is one of my monsters that will cause the most damage and it has the Bloodlust ability, this means that it can become even stronger in battle.

• The Dhampir Stalker is the monster I selected in fifth position, it is also one of my monsters that will cause the most damage in battle and it has a 100% chance of hitting the attack.

• The Crypt Beetle is the monster I selected in sixth position and just like the Harklaw it will be a great defense against physical attacks, the reason I use it in this position is to protect myself against monsters with the Sneak ability.

With this strategy I have a great defense in battle, my Frontline and Backline are protected and I have a great source of damage, so I can consider this a perfect balance and in a few rounds my opponent was defeated.

Quando existe a regra Melee Mayhem na batalha eu tento utilizar uma estratégia focada em monstros com ataque melee porque eles são os mais poderosos em Splinterlands e com a regra Melee Mayhem eu posso utilizar eles em qualquer posição.

Eu sei que acabei de explicar como a regra Melee Mayhem funciona na batalha mas vou deixar uma explicação resumida e com uma imagem abaixo.

Na regra Melee Mayhem os monstros com ataque melee podem atacar em qualquer posição.

Para aqueles que não sabem, monstros com ataque melee só são capazes de atacar na primeira posição, mas existem regras e habilidades que ajudam eles a atacarem em outras posições e a regra Melee Mayhem é um delas.

Vou utilizar essa batalha como exemplo, nela eu utilizo uma das minhas estratégias favoritas para a regra Melee Mayhem com o deck de morte.

É uma batalha que aconteceu em um dos Brawls que participei e nela eu utilizei 4 monstros com ataque melee, minha estratégia é bem simples:

• Eu utilizei o Astral Entity como summoner, ele vai diminuir em -2 a armadura dos monstros inimigos, vai dar a habilidade Dodge para os monstros aliados e ele vai reviver 1 dos monstros aliados.

Eu gosto de utilizar esse summoner porque ele aumenta as chances dos meus monstros se esquivarem dos ataques e deixa os monstros inimigos mais vulneráveis já que vão possuir menos armadura ou nenhuma.

• O Harklaw é o monstro que selecionei na primeira posição, ele vai ser uma ótima defesa contra ataques físicos e nessa batalha isso será muito útil já que existe a regra Melee Mayhem então as chances do meu adversário utilizar vários monstros com ataque melee são altas.

• O Cursed Windeku é o monstro que selecionei na segunda posição, ele vai ser a minha defesa secundária e também vai ser muito útil contra ataques melee já que possui a habilidade Thorns.

• O Revealer é o monstro que selecionei na terceira posição, ele possui a habilidade Stun e isso significa que ele tem 50% de chance de aplicar Stunned no monstro que ele atacar e deixar esse monstro incapaz de atacar ou usar qualquer habilidade durante 1 round.

• O Trapp Falloway é o monstro que selecionei na quarta posição, ele é um dos meus monstros que mais vai causar dano e ele possui a habilidade Bloodlust, isso significa que ele pode ficar ainda mais forte na batalha.

• O Dhampir Stalker é o monstro que selecionei na quinta posição, ele também é um dos meus monstros que mais vai causar dano na batalha e ele possui 100% de chance de acertar o ataque.

• O Crypt Beetle é o monstro que selecionei na sexta posição e assim como o Harklaw ele vai ser uma ótima defesa contra ataques físicos, o motivo de eu utilizar ele nessa posição é para me proteger contra monstros com a habilidade Sneak.

Com essa estratégia eu tenho uma ótima defesa na batalha, a minha Frontline e a minha Backline estão protegidas e eu tenho uma ótima fonte de dano, então posso considerar isso um equilíbrio perfeito e em poucos rounds o meu adversário foi derrotado.
