Hello everyone, how are you doing? Here is a quick post about some small updates I made to Hive Grove; I’ve already pushed them to production, but I’m only now getting around to writing a post to explain them.

One of these updates came about following this feedback from @forkyishere:

Snaps

When I implemented sharing for "snaps," I had already limited it to 3 shares every 24 hours; even so, it ended up generating a fair amount of spam regarding the game. I had anticipated this might happen, but I still wanted to allow more than just a single share per person so that users could generate content about the game.

I wasn't quite sure what the best approach was here, but after getting feedback from some people regarding Forky's "snap" feature, I decided to limit it to one share per person every 24 hours. Now, you face the tough decision of choosing exactly what you want to share on the snap, haha.

Will it be an achievement? Help from a friend? That’s up to you! We can see later whether that number should be increased or not.

Another update involves improvements to the shop to make buying items easier. Currently, we have three items sold in "packs" (small, medium, and large), containing exactly 1, 2, and 3 units respectively.

But what if I wanted to buy 6 units? I used to have to make the purchase twice, open the keychain twice, and confirm twice—it was a terrible process, haha.

Now, you can select a multiplier to speed up the purchase of these items. In the example below—using the drone, which has nice round numbers—a large pack of 3 units costs 0.5 Hive, so 6 units come out to exactly 1 Hive.

Much easier and faster, right? I really value having things work correctly and efficiently; after all, we don't have time to waste, do we?

Quando implementei o compartilhamento nos snaps, eu já havia limitado para a quantidade de 3 a cada 24 horas, mas mesmo assim, acabou por gerar um bom spam sobre o jogo. Imaginei que isso poderia acontecer, mas mesmo assim, quis deixar um número maior do que 1 para cada pessoa compartilhar e assim gerar conteudo sobre o jogo.

Então eu não sabia bem o que era bom ou ruim neste caso, mas depois do feedback de algumas pessoas no snap do forky, resolvi diminuir para 1 compartilhamento por pessoa a cada 24 horas, então agora você têm a difícil decisão de escolher o que quer compartilhar no snap haha.

Então, será uma conquista? A ajuda de algum amigo? Bem você decide! Depois podemos ver se esse número aumenta ou não.

Outro ponto foi uma melhoria no shop para facilitar a compra de itens. Atualmente temos três itens que são comprados por meio de cargas, então você tem o pequeno, médio e grande, sendo exatamente 1, 2 e 3 unidades de cada.

Só que se eu quiser comprar 6 unidades? Tinha que comprar 2 vezes, abrir keychain 2 vezes e confirmar 2 vezes haha, isso estava horrível.

Então agora você pode escolher um multiplicador para agilizar a compra destes intens. No exemplo abaixo, o drone que fica com valores redondos, uma carga grande com 3 unidades é 0,5 Hive, então 6 cargas são exatos 1 Hive.

Bem mais fácil e ágil não é mesmo? Eu prezo muito por isso, que as coisas funcionem corretas e de forma rápida, afinal, não temos tempo a perder não é mesmo?
