[EN/PT-BR] Hive Grove: New features and improvements to notifications and network.

The changes just keep coming. When I'm excited about something and feel the community loves it, I'm super happy to keep working and doing more! Hang tight—there's more news on the way!

I ended up discovering a funny, simple bug that had gone unnoticed. If I went to the history of a friend who had interacted with me in some way and clicked on my name—as shown in the image below—my grove would load up with all the trees ready to be watered.

Pretty wild, right? I didn't even get around to testing if I could water a tree; I made sure to fix that bug right away. Now, when you click on your own username, it loads your Grove with all the updated information and a small message indicating that the grove belongs to you:

Following an idea from @beelzael, I created a second list showing people you interact with inside Hive Grove but don't follow on social media—specifically, I've been using Peakd as the main frontend for these interactions.

This way, people you've interacted with but don't follow are highlighted; clicking their username opens their Peakd profile in a new tab, allowing you to see more about them.

This part might still change; I'll wait for feedback from everyone to see what could be improved.

Another improvement I think many will like involves the section where you search for people closest to your network. Previously, you had to click on someone to open a frame above and view their info. Now, everything happens right there, streamlining and simplifying navigation.

Some information remains in the same place, while other details—which previously appeared only in a second frame opening at the top—have been moved to the right side. This includes visiting the grove, visiting the grove profile, and the scan feature on that person's profile.

Finally, the tree-watering interactions—which also used to open in the top frame—are now located under the "i" (information) button, as you can see in the image below.

In my view, the fewer clicks or taps required, the better; it makes everything faster. You don't need to keep opening unnecessary windows or anything like that—having everything organized in a single frame keeps the interface from looking too cluttered, in my opinion.

Of course, community feedback is always welcome!

To wrap things up, there is another major improvement regarding notifications. What we had before was nice, but we knew we could do better—and we did! Clicking on the username now redirects you to that person's Grove (just as it did before), while clicking on the tree name link takes you directly to that specific tree!

The edges of the tree that received help will flash green, as shown in the screenshot below. It’s hard to see clearly here, but in-game you’ll notice it’s much easier to identify which tree was helped! It looks really cool and serves as a great visual cue!

So that’s it: improved, faster navigation, and greater visibility for the people you interact with on Hive Grove—even if you don't follow them on Hive social media—all with the aim of fostering deeper connections and meeting new people.

As I’ve said from the very beginning, the idea behind Hive Grove is to strengthen friendships and help you meet new people. At a time when many are feeling a bit down, there’s nothing better than a good friendship (or making new friends) to keep spirits high!

Acabei descobrindo um bug engraçado e até simples, mas que acabou passando despercebido. Se eu for no histórico de um amigo que interagiu comigo de alguma forma e clicasse em cima do meu nome como mostra a imagem abaixo, o meu grove era carregado e com todas as arvores podendo ser regadas.

Bem doido não é? Eu nem cheguei a testar se ia conseguir regar alguma árvore, fiz questão de já corrigir esse bug e agora quando clicar no seu próprio nome de usuário vai carregar o seu Grove com todas as informações atualizadas e uma pequena mensagem indicando que esse grove é o seu:

Nada mais dessa bugada xD

Seguindo uma ideia do @beelzael, criei uma segunda lista que mostra pessoas com quem você interage dentro do Hive Grove, mas não segue em alguma rede social, no caso tenho utilizado o Peakd como o frontend principal para essas interações.

Assim, pessoas com quem você interagiu mas não segue se tornam um destaque, clicando no nome de usuário delas, irá fazer com que o perfil delas no Peakd seja aberto em uma nova aba, assim você poderá ver e conhecer mais sobre ela.

Essa parte ainda pode mudar, vou aguardar o feedback da galera e vamos ver o que pode ficar melhor.

Outra melhoria que acredito que muitos vão gostar, foi feita nessa parte em que após buscar as pessoas mais próximas de nossa network, agora não terá mais aquela ação de clicar em uma delas para abrir um frame acima e ver algumas informações. Agora é tudo ali mesmo, para agilizar e facilitar a navegação.

Algumas informações continuam no mesmo lugar e outras, que apareciam apenas no segundo frame que abria na parte de cima, coloquei ali do lado direito. Visitar o grove, visitar o perfil grove e o scan em cima do perfil dessa pessoa.

Por fim, as ultimas interações por meio da rega das arvores que também abriam no frame de cima, agora ficam no botão de informação "i" como vocês podem ver na imagem abaixo.

No meu ver, quanto menos você precisar clicar ou tocar melhor, mais agilidade para fazer tudo, então não precisa ficar abrindo coisas desnecessárias ou algo do tipo, um frame e tudo ali mesmo, organizado não fica tão pesado visualmente na minha opinião.

Claro que o feedback da comunidade é sempre bem vindo!

Para terminar, mais uma grande melhoria na parte das notificações. O que tínhamos era bacana, mas podemos fazer melhor e assim foi feito! Ao clicar no nome de usuário dela, você será redirecionado para o Grove da pessoa, como já funcionava antes e ao clicar no link do nome da árvore, você será redirecionado exatamente para ela!

As bordas da arvore que foi ajudada irá piscar em verde como mostrado no print abaixo. Não dá para ver direito por aqui, mas ao vivo você verá que ficou bem melhor para identificar qual foi a árvore que recebeu ajuda! Ficou bem maneiro e indicativo!

Então é isso, mais melhorias e agilidade na navegação, mais foco e destaque para pessoas que você interage no Hive Grove, mas talvez não acompanha nas redes sociais da Hive, buscando sempre mais conexão e conhecer novas pessoas.

Como sempre digo desde o começo, a ideia do Hive Grove é fortalecer os laços de amizades assim como ajudar a conhecer novas pessoas. Neste momento em que muitas pessoas estão em desanimo, nada melhor do que uma boa amizade (ou novos amigos) para manter as coisas aquecidas!
