Hive Grove Radio

The biggest addition in this update is the “Hive Grove Radio” which, as you can see, is right up there, next to the Snap sharing icon.

It displays a Play symbol, and to start playing music, you first need to click on it to open a small frame with the options of a music player, similar to Spotify.

As you can see, we have shuffle, previous song, Play, next song, repeat, and volume. It's a basic player like any other, but it works well, and you'll be able to check that out!

To begin and also gather feedback from people, for now we only have one album, but it's not just any album, because here comes a fundamental piece! Our first official partnership with @ravenmus1c, and if you're wondering who BeaTraxx is, well, it's her! that's one of her artist alias!

Finally, in the settings, I've set two options for now: default volume when entering Hive Grove and autoplay. Regarding autoplay, it seems that browsers don't allow the "enter and play immediately" command to work, so they kind of require you to click on the game or player to start playing automatically.

About Section

Taking advantage of our first partnership for Hive Grove, I've also implemented a menu called "about," but it's not exactly directly related to the game, as is usual in this type of menu.

I'll probably change the name to something else later, but for now, this "About" section is actually about the people who have contributed to Hive Grove. Initially, I'm listing myself and Raven as our first partners in this menu, but it won't stop there.

My idea is that as new partners join, new cards will be created to promote them and thus support these people who have decided to support Hive Grove in a more direct way.

And, for the community, those who have been helping with the development of HG for a long time with tips, ideas, feedback and testing, I will create a category to place the players who have contributed the most in some way.

Campfire/Leaderboard Improvements

I focused on participation in the mini-raffle to earn points for the Leaderboard.

Notifications have been improved; now only those who win receive an in-game notification about winning the points raffle. The improvement was that I added notifications for those who participated and didn't win, so participants aren't left in the dark without knowing if they won or not and the reason why.

The rules already in place remain the same, this hasn't changed, so each notification you receive for participating and not winning already comes with a summary of why you didn't win.

Another change was an idea/suggestion from @savvyplayer:

• This change requires that entries for the raffle will only be valid if you comment through the Hive Grove website.

I thought this was valid, as the idea is for the site to always be active and for people to visit it frequently and engage with it, so I applied this new rule, if we can call it that.

FAQ Improvements

I've improved the FAQ; it's no longer a frame that appears, but a page like the others. This will help to display information better and work with reading more efficiently, since we have many new players arriving and they need a good place to look for information.

I also did a sweep to update the FAQ, checking if there was anything wrong or outdated with everything we have currently in the code and in production in the game.

In the future, I will also add posts from the community itself here, to promote the people who help Hive Grove so much and who will also assist new players or answer questions.

I also added a search field, precisely to find the answer to your question more quickly and easily.

Who did you invite?

A really great idea from @curamax, and one that was obviously missing to improve communication between the game and our community friends. Who did you invite and what is their ranking in the points calculation?

Now on your profile you can see this in the “invites” tab, and with this you will be able to track the progress of the people you have invited. This will make it much easier to understand the progress of your invited friends.

In this part, I ask my dear friends to help me test it. As I haven't invited anyone yet, I haven't been able to visually test how it looks, so please, for those who have managed to invite someone, share screenshots and feedback with me or on our Discord server so that I can validate the visuals and information presented.

Em relação ao autoplay, parece que os navegadores não deixam o comando de já entrar e tocar funcionar, então eles meio que exigem que você clique no jogo ou no player para começar a tocar sozinho.

Seção Sobre

Aproveitando que agora temos uma primeira parceria para o Hive Grove, implementei também um menu chamado “sobre”, mas não é bem algo relacionado ao jogo diretamente, como de costume neste tipo de menu.

Provavelmente ainda irei trocar o nome dele para alguma outra coisa, mas, por enquanto, esse sobre é, na verdade, sobre as pessoas que têm contribuído com o Hive Grove. De início, estou colocando eu e a Raven como nossa primeira parceira nesse menu, mas isso não irá ficar somente nisso.

A minha ideia é que a medida que novos parceiros forem chegando, novos cards serão criados para divulgar eles e assim apoiar essas pessoas que decidiram apoiar o Hive Grove de uma forma mais próxima.

Melhorias Campfire/Leaderboard

Foquei na participação do mini sorteio para ganhar pontos para o Leaderboard.

As notificações foram melhoradas; hoje somente quem ganha recebe uma notificação ingame sobre ter ganho o sorteio dos pontos. A melhoria foi que adicionei notificações para quem participou e não ganhou, assim quem participar não fica no “escuro” sem saber se ganhou ou não e o motivo do que aconteceu ou não aconteceu.

As regras já impostas continuam do mesmo jeito, isso não foi mudado, então cada notificação que você receber por participar e não ganhar, já vem com um resumo do porque não ganhou.

Outra alteração foi uma ideia/sugestão do @savvyplayer:

• Essa alteração exige que as entradas para o sorteio serão validas apenas se você comentar pelo site do Hive Grove.

Achei válido isso, pois a ideia é que o site esteja sempre movimentado e que as pessoas o visitem com frequência e engajem nele, então apliquei essa nova regra, se assim podemos dizer.

Melhorias FAQ

Melhorei o FAQ, agora não é mais um frame que aparece e sim uma página como as outras. Isso vai ajudar a mostrar melhor e a trabalhar com a leitura de forma mais eficiente, já que temos muitos jogadores novos chegando e eles precisam ter um lugar legal para poder buscar por informações.

Fiz uma varredura também para atualizar o FAQ, verificando se tinha algo errado ou desatualizado com tudo o que temos de atual no código e em produção no jogo.

Futuramente vou adicionar as postagens da própria comunidade aqui também, para poder promover as pessoas que tanto ajudam o Hive Grove e que também vão auxiliar a novos jogadores ou para tirar dúvidas.

Adicionei também um campo de pesquisa, justamente para encontrar a dúvida que tiver de forma mais rápido e fácil.

Uma ideia muito top do @curamax e que obviamente estava faltando para melhorar a comunicação do jogo com nossos amigos da comunidade. Quem você convidou e como está a posição deles para computar os pontos?

Agora no seu perfil você pode ver isso na aba “invites” e com isso vai poder acompanhar o progresso das pessoas que você chamou. Com isso ficará bem mais fácil entender como está o progresso dos seus amigos que você chamou.

Nessa parte, eu solicito que meus caros amigos me ajudem a testar. Como eu não chamei ninguém ainda, não consegui testar visualmente como ficou, então, por favor, para aqueles que conseguiram chamar alguém, compartilhem comigo ou no nosso servidor Discord, prints e feedback de como ficou, para que eu possa validar o visual e informações apresentadas.
