O motivo é explicado pelo funcionamento da venda das cartas de voucher. Quando os jogadores comprando uma carta de voucher através do Voucher Shop, eles não estão apenas comprando uma versão regular da carta, mas também estão adquirindo indiretamente uma "chance" de conseguir a carta nas raridades Gold Foil e Black foil.
Na última venda de cartas, as chances ao comprar uma carta era de 2% de Gold Foil, podendo chegar à 4% usando 2 Alchemy Potions por carta. Além disso, havia também uma chance baixa de 0,025% de conseguir uma Black Foil que também poderia ser dobrada usando poções, nesse caso as midnight Potions.

Para quem vai comprar em grande quantidade é provável que consiga uma gold foil, teoricamente precisaria comprar por volta de 25 cópias, para conseguir 100% de chance. Agora para quem estiver buscando poucas cópias dessa carta pode ser interessante buscar bons preços no mercado secundário, só tenha atenção que o preço pode acabar subindo se a demanda pela carta continuar, e não tiver mais a oferta depois que ela sair da loja de voucher com a chegada das novas cartas.
