What is DCrops?

DCrops is a farm-style Play to Earn game, where the goal is to plant some seeds in lands, wait a certain amount of time, and then harvest the grown plant. This is a well-known mechanic for Play To Earn game players, but DCrops has evolved and added some new mechanics such as Crafting, Cooking, Construction, among others.

However, the most interesting thing, and what makes DCrops different from other NFT games of this style, is its economy. In this game, you have the main token - CROP Token - that you earn by selling what you harvested at the end of each Season (15 days). DCrops Gameplay

Let's briefly go over the basics of DCrops Gameplay. To play you need land cards and seed cards. The seed can be reused if it is not on cooldown. There are 4 seasons, which simulate the seasons that normally occur, that is, the game will have Summer, Winter, Autumn, and Spring. The difference is that in DCrops, these seasons, to make it more dynamic, occur every 15 days. One detail in the gameplay is that the seed can only be planted if it is compatible with the season the game is in. This mechanic means that there is 4x the demand for seeds since you will end up needing seeds for each of the seasons.

The game has a ranking by season and when you sell the items you have harvested, you earn what are called Shares. The more shares, the higher your position on the Leaderboard tends to be, determining how many CROP Tokens you will receive. The reward pool started with 500,000 Crop Tokens, but it's worth remembering that it has a 0.5% reduction factor each season.

Dcrops recently released a $5 Starter Pack (Hive or HBD) to give new players the tools they need to get started in the game with the minimum resources needed to farm in all the game's seasons. With that in mind, the pack comes with 4x Seeds, one for each type of season, and 1x Land for you to plant the seeds. In addition, this pack will also include 20x Mystery Seed, Ferti-Plus, Speed Gro, which will help you farm more at the beginning of the game.

Some observations about this starter pack are that these items are not tradable NFTs, because they are linked to your account. Therefore, it is worth checking out the Dcrops marketplace to see if it is not more advantageous to start with the NFTs since you will be able to sell and exchange them in the future. In addition, it is mentioned that only the first 2x Starter Packs give Land NFT, the others will not provide Lands.

DCrops Gameplay

Vamos passar brevemente sobre o básico da Gameplay do Dcrops. Para jogar você precisa de cartas de land e cartas de semente. A semente pode ser reutilizada se não estiver em cooldown. Existem 4 estações, que simulam as estações que ocorrem normalmente, ou seja, o jogo vai ter Verão, Inverno, Outono, e Primavera. A diferença é que no Dcrops essas seasons, até para deixar mais dinâmico, ocorrem a cada 15 dias. Um detalhe na gameplay é que a semente só pode ser plantada se for compatível com a season que o jogo estiver. Essa mecânica faz com que haja 4x demanda por sementes já que você vai acabar precisando de sementes para cada uma das estações.
