The Strategy and the Grind
Yesterday I created a post detailing a small poker promo I participated in. Today we expand on our poker play and venture to a secondary (main) site. We are going to utilize our ever working micro strategy. I have 20 cents in the account so we are essentially starting at $0. That means the games we can play are limited. Lucky for us there are daily freerolls and a small selection of 0.01 cent buy in games. Today I played some satellite tournaments and managed to earn myself a $0.33, $0.44 and $1.10 ticket. I have since utilized all three of those tickets. We busted in a tournament with our $0.33 ticket but we managed to increase the $0.44 ticket to $2.20. We also managed to increase the value of our $1.10 ticket to $5.50. The satellite tournaments that the new more valuable tickets are for start in about 20 minutes. A perfect amount of time to get this post started. So far I spent exactly one cent to play these games. Which in turn gave me a current buy in value of $8.47 USD. The venture to build a poker bankroll starting at $0 continues. I tried this some months back and ultimately failed. We will have success this time. We also have roughly $28 USD on another site. Which we built from $0.00. Our first stop is $100 USD and then re-evaluate our strategy. We will be treating each site as a separate bankroll. Ultimately I would like to build enough for a cashout. I would then utilize that cashout for a first deposit bonus at a third site. There is about 10 minutes to go before PHASE 2 of these tournaments start. Time to grab a cool beverage and get ready for them. Once we finish the tournaments we will be right back to report how they went. Side note: I do hope to fund my Hive Token bag with poker winnings once those wins start rolling in.

Onward and Forward - Lets Go!
It's about 30 minutes later. I am still in the $5.50 tournament but busted the $2.20 buy in. I played very bad in the $2.20. I amassed a decent size stack to take a shot at all but solidifying my place in the final phase. It didn't work out. I did manage to grind my stack back up to a respectable amount. I put in it the middle after the flop gave me a top pair and an open-end straight draw. My opponent turns over trips and I don't hit and am sent to the rails. I can tell I'm still rusty as the amount of chips I had 2X should have had me finishing in a better position but the grind goes on. I'm currently the tournament leader in the $5.50 buy in but its still early and anyone's game. Once again I will report back once the game has concluded. If I am able to finish in the placement the prize will be a $22 ticket into the final that will have a prize pool of $15,000. BOOM - winner winner chicken dinner. I now have a $22 ticket but I fumbled the info I placed in this paragraph. What I won wasn't a $22 ticket to a $15,000 GNTD. I'm still one step away from the final. What does that mean? That means I have one more tournament to play if I want to make it to the final tournament. After checking the lobby, if I were to win this final stage (phase) I will earn a $215 ticket into a $15,000 gntd tournament. Looks like there is six of us registered and the tournament starts in about 20 minutes. If I don't make the final - I'm satisfied with the outcome. Adding this $22 ticket to the previous balance of $8.47 puts us at $30.47 USD worth of value while only utilizing one cent. It's hard to complain about that regardless of outcome. Looks like only 1/6 now 1/8 of us will make it to the final $15,000 GNTD tournament. I'm going to go stretch the legs for a moment. We will be back after the tournament ends to let you know how it went. Once again I'm back for the final update. I ended up busting out to the chip leader when my AK ran into their AA. It was a nice run for my first day back at playing satellite poker tournaments. Thanks for coming along for the ride. The grind continues - see you at our next table --- er, I mean -- see you at our next post.
