Actually, almost a day has been completed after the Splinterland's gate opened for the presale of the Escalation set. Escalation is the Conclave Arcana mini set but this mini set comes with 43 new cards in the escalation packs that include 12 Common cards,12 Rare cards,8 Epic cards, and 11 Legendary cards . There are also 6 legendary Archon (that will be designed and named by top 6 in the leaderboard presale.) Also there are 2 promo cards that will be given for taking part in presale. Once presale is over, no more promo cards will be minted, and they will be available on the secondary market. Escalation is a mini set is only due to number of cards, if you check on all the new abilities it is coming with, you will definitely consider it as a killer set
As of now, out of 500K packs on presale, 358905 packs are available and 141095 packs are sold and with time pack sold number will keep increasing and available pack got keep reducing and making ot more scarce in the Splinterland's shop. With more than 28% of the supply sold in a single day, it look like sale is progressing good.

Promo cards are the guaranteed based on the number of packs purchased by you as per below logic.
During the Escalation presale, promo cards are granted based on the number of Standard Packs purchased.
