Moonkarts is a web3 card trading game on the Hive Blockchain which is a bold fusion of the high-octane kart racing and the lucrative framework of play-to-earn gaming. And best part of this game is that you can currently play this game in browser without downloading any executable files. Also this is Player vs Player game in the multiplayer mode. Multiplayer mode allows many player to join a race and all the players compete with each other to finish in the top positions in the race. If you are not ready to play in the multiplayer races, then you can take part in the Single player mode , where one can do kart racing alone in the tracks.
Even though games are Play2Earn games, they require an initial investment to get started in the game. In some games, this initial investment can be very high, especially if the game has been well established and already attracted thousands of players. The good thing about the Moonkarts game, it is very new game and has not been very overcrowded with players and the existing player community is very active in the Discord and will help to get new players onboarded. Since the game is not yet overcrowded, it makes it assets are fairly priced in the market.
If you are a big spender, and like to dominate the game , then you can buy CENTAURI PACKS from the Hive-Engine, or try the Moonkarts game market to buy the legendary cards. Alternatively, you can use Buy Sell channel in Game Discord but make sure that Discord dealing are with individual and based on trust or escrow.
But if you are really on a budget and just want a asset that make you playable at multiplayer mode than I will suggest to you at least the below configuration.
Since the above screenshot has 2 kart drivers, so you can ignore LUNA and go for AURORA. Though the best driver is VORTEX in terms of speed, I prefer AURORA because it has better handling.
So let calculate the cost of this configuration to get started in Moonkarts with fair gaming experience. (For more cheap option, you can go for common cards, but it will ruin your gaming experience.)

This makes the total of $2.74 for a fair experience in Moonkarts and if you want to go more cheap then go for bare necessary that is Kart and driver that cost $1.54 only.
If you want to go upwards of $2.74 then go for the epic kart "Quasar Sport" that will cost around $3.4 and Epic AURORA at $1.94.
If you can go further, consider epic copies of all the rare cards I mentioned in the table.
Epic cards are costly than Rare cards but provide little better stats than the rare cards. Also, these cards have levels also , so multiple cards of same type can be combined together to a higher level to get more better stats.

It seems like a fair price to get in, but that doesn't include the price of FUEL right? I think it would be better to include what you think a person would earn, and how long to break even. Or a rough estimate would give people a better take on whether or not they want to get in to earn.
Thanks for bringing up the FUEL point, I must say that even you are not playing the game, but still very well informed about the game.
I left out the FUEL topic deliberately, as it is more of onboarding post to the game and providing all information in one go can be overwhelming, Even without FUEL they can still play Single player and have the look and feel of game and its UI/UX.
Overall, the all rare combination require 18 FUEL, and discord market easily offer 4 FUEL for 1 COLONY token. Over a season, I hardly do 50 races, that will require 900 FUEL, that bring calculation down to 225 COLONY, or some 10 cents for a season.
Now depending upon how much you like to race this can go up and down because there no limit on number of races that a player can participate in a day.
