This newly launched game by the ArcadeColony gaming platform has been creating some noise recently. Basically, it is an arcade type Kart style racing game in a complete 3D environment, where players partake and race against other human players in order to earn crypto rewards. Now, Moonkarts is something that we rarely see in the crypto games space, as most of the blockchain based games are generally card-based 2D games, mainly cards and strategy, that most of the time don’t give you any in-game controls, which makes it boring to keep playing after a certain point. But with Moonkarts, it gets completely different, as here you will be racing in a complete 3D environment with awesome 3D designed cards and enjoy a pure racing vibe, just like a web2 racing game. So, you get a thrilling and addictive racing game with the features of play2earn and asset ownership, because this game is built and being run on Hive blockchain and provides unmatched security to protect your in-game assets and tokens while providing transparency.

Tokens of Moonkarts

Now, I have been playing this game for around 2 months now and after practicing for a while in the single mode, I started playing in the multiplayer mode to race against other real players and to get a chance to earn Colony tokens as rewards. Now, Moonkarts has 2 tokens in its economy as follows:

COLONY - Colony token is the in-game reward token of Moonkarts and also the governance token of ArcadeColony Platform, which is similar to the SPS token in the Splinterlands game. Players can play the game and stand a chance to earn Colony tokens based on their performance in Multiplayer mode. There are multiple ways to earn Colony tokens - Become top 3 in a race, collect Colony tokens on track while racing and from the leaderboard rewards, which are given out after the end of each ranked season. Based on a player’s performance throughout the season in both the Ranked and Orbital leaderboards, he can earn a significant amount of Colony tokens and earn decently just by playing the game.

SCRIPT - Script is another token in the Moonkarts games and this token is considered the stablecoin of this game. Moreover, Script is an important element in the game, because in order to generate the in-game item Fuel that is required to play races in multiplayer, you have to stake Moonkarts NFT cards with Script at the ‘Auto Vault’ section in the game.

Why Stake Colony?

Now, focusing on the Colony token, not only can you earn Colony tokens by playing this game, but you can also choose to stake your Colony tokens in the in-game wallet, in order to increase your in-game reward earnings, which works the same as the SPS token in Splinterlands. So, apart from your racing skills and your overall racing setup strength, staking colony tokens also boosts your earnings in the game. Moreover, as I said above, Colony is also in the governance token of ArcadeColony Platform, so I have a feeling that the price of this token has the potential to go to the moon in the future if the game gets popular among the masses. That’s why I decided to keep increasing my colony stake with time.

More Colony Stake = Higher Multiplier

Now, the 21st ranked Season has just ended recently in Moonkarts and a fresh new season has already started as well, which will end in another 10 days. Every multiplayer ranked season in Moonkarts runs for 10 days and in this time frame, players try to reach as high as possible in both leaderboards, so that they can bag more colony shares of the total reward pool. Now, there is a Rating / Multiplier reward system in Moonkarts, which shows the required Staked colony tokens ( including both owned and delegated) to achieve different multipliers based on the current rating of a player. Now, the more matches you play and rank among the top 3, your rating increases accordingly and with more rating, you will require more staked Colony tokens to earn more Colony tokens as reward. For example, let’s say my current rating is 1600, so a stake of 3,403.92 Colony tokens will earn me a 4x reward multiplier while a larger stake - i.e., 289,333.5 Colony stake would earn me a whooping 20x multiplier. So you can clearly see that with more Colony staked in your account, the higher you go with the ratings, your colony token earning experiences exponential growth.

Staked 384k Colony

Now, coming back to my Colony staking activity, as I shared in one of my previous posts, I had a total of 17,824.668 Colony staked in my account and after claiming and staking all my Colony earnings from season 21, my stake got increased to 28,422.173. But, I was not satisfied with both my total colony stake and earnings. Hence, after thinking hard, I finally decided to purchase a large chunk of Colony tokens from the market and stake them in my in-game wallet to permanently boost my Colony earnings in ranked multiplayer mode. So today, I staked a whooping 384k Colony in my account and increased my total Colony stake to 412k+.

Actually, I bought the Colony Tokens 2 days earlier, but due to a delay in block processing, the transfer of my colony tokens from Hive-Engine to in-game got delayed and gladly, I received the amount today and immediately staked them all into my account.

Current Earnings

Now, with my current stake, I will now be earning more colony tokens than before as per the reward multiplier rating chart. As you can see above, my current Rating in this ongoing ranked season is 2115, so I calculated that my multiplier would be above 16x and as displayed in the screenshot above, my exact Colony Staking multiplier is 18.76x right now, and it is visibly increasing my colony earning than before as I experienced today. So, if you are also playing the game seriously and want to boost your Colony earnings, you should also think about increasing your colony stake, or you won’t get paid enough for your hard work. Anyway, with the Colony token, my current goal is to reach 1 million Colony tokens and I am already close to halfway there, so let’s see how much time it takes to reach my Colony staking goal.
