Splinterlands - Pizza Guild Brawl Report

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and Midnight Letters community! Our guild Pizza A Slice of Madness joined another brawl. I will share our recent brawl guild performance today. Grateful to all our guild players who joined in our brawl games and contributed. Pizza A Slice of Madness landed in sixth place. I'm still not doing well in this brawl due to my weaker cards. I only scored four points out of four games.

Overall Guild Rank: Sixth Place

Our rank is worse than last week's third place. We are only in sixth place this time with 66 wins and 34 loses and taking 51 Crowns prize.

Personal Brawl Performance and Selected Games

My personal brawl performance is still below average. I am ninth in our guild in terms of contribution to the brawl. I have to upgrade my Foundation set cards to improve my results.

Battle 1

The game had the same sets of archons and units. My win was just pure luck because there was not much choice with only 13 mana and only two elements available. My opponent and I chose the same cards. I won but the game could have gone either way.

Battle 2

My opponent and I again chose the same element but we had different units. The game was for 19 mana only, no archon and units skills are allowed. My opponent used a combination of Asel and Mystic Scaleweaver. I wanted to use a Gladiator cards so I used Saltwater Mage who has lower mana than Mystic Scaleweaver. Then I put a low mana Gladiator, Alfredo. Alfredo only has 2 mana and has one range attack. It gave me an edge of an additional unit compared to my opponent.

Battle 3

One of the games that I lost. It's for 57 mana and my opponent had the better units. He had two legendary cards and Quora Towershead in his team. My team was weaker and my Gladiator's attacks were absorbed by the opponent's Giam Root.

Battle 4

I used almost the same team from the previous game, it's an improvement because I changed Saltwater Mage with Mystic Scaleweaver. Asel Alagosdil and Alfredo was also in the team. My opponent only had two cards but they were both at maximum level. It shows how strong the cards are at maximum levels. For example, Port Guardian has two attacks, three shields, seven life and three speed. A big improvement from level three. Mystic Scaleweaver also has an added attack at maximum level. I already have two BCX of the card and hoping to get one more and upgrade mine.

Spending the Rewards

I bought two Gladiator packs out of my merit rewards. They contain common and rare cards. The new cards included Bertrol Gobson whom I was able to upgrade.

The upgrade was not much of an improvement. It gave an added speed to Bertrol. I also upgraded Chimney Wallstop.

The upgrade gave an added speed too. It's not much but it will bring it closer to upgrading to much higher levels.

A new card I received was Sarius of the Fire element.

She is a low mana card with two range attacks, three life and three speed stats.

Conclusion

We earned 2,833 Merits and 28 SPS from the brawl. I'm grateful to guild for accepting me as a member and gave me the opportunity to join the brawls and earn guild rewards. I try to contribute by doing my part and making my cards stronger for future brawls.
