WEEK 36 REVIEW

Vibes week 36 made me realize that talent isn’t enough in music. I have seen Verbal-D mention this a good number of times, but I got to understand it first hand after watching a lot of entries for week 36. I just finished watching all the entries within the last 7 days from my previous review which by the way was a lot of work, But I also enjoyed it at the end of the day. Watching artists bring out different styles and approach to their entries was really interesting to watch.

However, I could not just overlook the fact that a lot of artists feel that their voice is enough for a competition. Sorry for being blunt, but I do not think that some of the entries are competing, I feel they are just after the few dollars they can get. This is because you can clearly see the lack of effort in their entry and I think the judges need to be a little more strict about such entries so as to keep the relevance of this competition.

Just because you feel your voice is nice doesn’t mean you can sing and we should listen. There is no drive in an entry making the listeners feel like they're wasting their time. Some of the entries in this competition would not get a free view if it was on a web 2 platform, so why should we listen to it here. I feel it is an abuse of opportunity to make an entry for a competition just because you know you will get a vote at least and not put effort into making your listeners enjoy your entry.

It’s okay to not have a really nice voice, but I will choose to listen to that not so nice voice if I see good enough effort in the song. We need hive to be heard, we need web3 to be heard, Vibes is a medium for this to happen, this is why we are asked to publicize, this is why we are asked to add a twitter or youtube post. But when it comes to marketing, we can agree that no matter the publicity a bad product gets, it will only get a lot of bad reviews. If We do a lot of poor performances and put it out on web2 platforms, they will never take our publicity seriously as we will be looking like amateurs lying about what we do on web3.

I don't really like to criticize entries, but I would like to suggest to the judges @verbal-d to maybe find a way to impute constructive criticisms in not so good entities, this will help us a lot in the quality of entries we get. I could write about a list of some not so good entities if the judges in the process of filtering out the winners list also highlight them. This will be an avenue to show such artists how they could do better specifically so they take corrections and improve in the next entry. I just feel if an entry is worth a vote, then it should be worth listening to.

Below is a list of some of the entries I really enjoyed listening to… If I should make a list of all of them, it will be a very long one, so I will just do a list of the entries for one of the days within the last seven days. I feel these artists show that competitive spirit I talked about, and made efforts in bringing their songs to life.
