Aërithéa, le pays des brumes cachées
Dans un coin oublié de la mémoire du monde, où les atlas se taisent et les explorateurs n'osent rêver, existe un pays légendaire qu’aucune carte n’a jamais tracé. On l’appelle Aërithéa, un royaume dissimulé sous la surface de la Terre, caché dans les replis d’une montagne creuse, quelque part entre les mythes et les ombres.
Aërithéa n’est pas simplement un lieu, mais une énigme vivante. Située quelque part entre les dimensions, on raconte qu’elle se cache là où la Terre respire encore, dans les replis de son souffle originel. Les anciens mythes disent qu’Aërithéa a été créée lorsque le monde était jeune, une sorte de sanctuaire conçu pour préserver tout ce que l’humanité pourrait perdre : ses histoires, ses mystères, et surtout, son essence.
L’entrée vers Aërithéa est introuvable pour ceux qui cherchent activement. Elle ne se dévoile qu’aux esprits perdus dans leur propre quête ou aux cœurs purs d’une curiosité innocente. Ceux qui y parviennent témoignent d’un passage singulier : un brouillard dense, argenté, qui semble danser au gré d’une mélodie inaudible. À mesure que l’on progresse, ce brouillard efface tout souvenir du monde extérieur, ne laissant que l’émerveillement face à ce qui se dévoile.
Aërithéa elle-même est un tableau vivant de contrastes. Ses forêts aux arbres cristallins brillent d'une lumière douce, comme si chaque feuille emprisonnait une étoile. Des plaines d’herbes violettes ondulent sous un vent qui ne souffle pas, et des rivières aux eaux noires reflètent les cieux dans des teintes inversées. Mais ce n’est pas seulement la beauté des lieux qui marque les visiteurs : c’est l’atmosphère. L’air est chargé d’une énergie vibrante, presque palpable, comme si le royaume lui-même possédait une conscience.
Le mystère le plus fascinant d’Aërithéa réside dans ses brumes éternelles. Elles ne sont pas de simples nuages ou vapeurs : elles semblent vivantes, conscientes. Ces brumes ne protègent pas seulement Aërithéa des regards extérieurs ; elles observent, jugent et réagissent à ceux qui osent les traverser. Certains disent que ces brumes sont tissées à partir des souvenirs de ceux qui se sont égarés dans leur propre passé, formant une frontière mouvante entre ce qui est et ce qui pourrait être.
Les brumes murmurent, et parfois, elles chantent. Ceux qui s’arrêtent pour écouter entendent des fragments d’histoires oubliées : des noms chuchotés, des rires lointains ou des cris étouffés. Mais attention, car ces murmures peuvent aussi tromper, guidant les intrus dans des cercles sans fin ou vers des illusions de leur propre désir.
La flore et la faune d’Aërithéa ne ressemblent à rien de ce que l’on trouve sur la surface. Les arbres, aux troncs transparents, laissent couler une sève dorée qui brille dans l’obscurité. Leurs racines, profondes, atteignent des sources d’énergie inconnues. Les fleurs, elles, semblent s’ouvrir uniquement en réponse à des émotions humaines, changeant de couleur et de forme selon l’humeur de ceux qui les regardent.
Les créatures qui peuplent ce royaume sont rares et éphémères, comme des fragments de rêves prenant vie. On parle de papillons aux ailes de verre qui capturent la lumière pour tisser des éclats d’arc-en-ciel, ou de grands cervidés aux ramures luminescentes, marchant comme des gardiens dans la nuit éternelle. Mais aucune créature, aussi étrange soit-elle, ne s’approche jamais des brumes. Même elles semblent savoir que les brumes ne pardonnent pas.
Aërithéa défie les lois de la géographie. Ses paysages changent constamment, répondant peut-être aux pensées ou aux besoins de ceux qui y vivent. Un voyageur pourrait traverser une vaste plaine un jour, pour trouver le lendemain une forêt à cet endroit. Pourtant, certains lieux semblent fixes, des points d’ancrage dans ce royaume fluide : le lac des Échos, où chaque mot prononcé se grave dans l’eau, ou la Vallée des Ombres, où le passé de ceux qui passent se reflète dans les ombres projetées sur le sol.

Aërithéa, the land of hidden mists
In a forgotten corner of the world's memory, where atlases are silent and explorers dare not dream, there exists a legendary land that no map has ever traced. It is called Aërithéa, a kingdom hidden beneath the surface of the Earth, hidden in the folds of a hollow mountain, somewhere between myths and shadows.
Aërithéa is not simply a place, but a living enigma. Located somewhere between dimensions, it is said to hide where the Earth still breathes, in the folds of its original breath. Ancient myths say that Aërithéa was created when the world was young, a kind of sanctuary designed to preserve everything that humanity could lose: its stories, its mysteries, and above all, its essence.
The entrance to Aërithéa is unfindable for those who actively seek. It reveals itself only to minds lost in their own quest or to pure hearts of innocent curiosity. Those who succeed report a singular passage: a dense, silvery fog that seems to dance to the beat of an inaudible melody. As one progresses, this fog erases all memory of the outside world, leaving only wonder at what is revealed.
Aërithéa itself is a living tableau of contrasts. Its forests of crystalline trees shine with a soft light, as if each leaf imprisoned a star. Plains of purple grass sway in a wind that does not blow, and rivers of black water reflect the skies in inverted hues. But it is not only the beauty of the place that marks visitors: it is the atmosphere. The air is charged with a vibrant, almost palpable energy, as if the kingdom itself possessed a conscience.
Aërithéa’s most fascinating mystery lies in its eternal mists. They are not mere clouds or vapors: they seem alive, conscious. These mists do not merely shield Aërithéa from outside eyes; they observe, judge, and react to those who dare to cross them. Some say that these mists are woven from the memories of those who have strayed into their own past, forming a shifting boundary between what is and what could be.
The mists whisper, and sometimes they sing. Those who stop to listen hear fragments of forgotten stories: whispered names, distant laughter, or stifled cries. But beware, for these whispers can also deceive, leading intruders into endless circles or illusions of their own desire.
The flora and fauna of Aërithéa are unlike anything found on the surface. The trees, with transparent trunks, let flow a golden sap that shines in the darkness. Their roots, deep, reach unknown sources of energy. The flowers, themselves, seem to open only in response to human emotions, changing color and shape according to the mood of those who look at them.
The creatures that populate this kingdom are rare and ephemeral, like fragments of dreams come to life. There is talk of butterflies with glass wings that capture the light to weave rainbow shards, or great deer with luminescent antlers, walking like guardians in the eternal night. But no creature, however strange, ever approaches the mists. Even they seem to know that the mists are unforgiving.
Aërithéa defies the laws of geography. Its landscapes change constantly, perhaps responding to the thoughts or needs of those who live there. A traveler could cross a vast plain one day, to find a forest there the next. Yet some places seem fixed, anchor points in this fluid realm: the Lake of Echoes, where every word spoken is engraved in the water, or the Valley of Shadows, where the past of those who pass by is reflected in the shadows cast on the ground.
