I saw, wherever I went,
The moon walked with me!
The tired evening had returned home
My heart was heavy and my body weak,
I was bored sitting
I came to my window
My attention did not break, I kept thinking
Where will the speed take me now
My feet were tired, but
I moved forward, Where I felt like
But I don't know why, wherever I went
The moon walked with me
It looked like a yellow rose
The light colored turmeric moon!
It was a companion, yet my heart did not feel light, the burden doubled
He too was poor and lonely
His path of life was also desolate
What could I say, both were silent,
They bore their own silence
The companions of sorrow, just by looking
They spoke what their hearts said without saying
They had the same rhythm; I sat down,
I signaled, come,
Sun-mirror! Come down, unstable,
Become a mirror to the poet's heart
I got up, he got up; wherever I went,
The moon walked with me
I rained in songs; he in dew
And wept, the moon!
Could the thicket or any tree branch,
The bright leaves of the Peepal tree...
Or the twinkling net of the tamarind tree,
Have I been able to cover myself for even a moment?
I used to walk in silent vision,
He used to grow in the empty sky
Imagination used to take me flying,
He used to soar high in the sky
I would stumble, he would stop
When I walked, the moon walked with me
The moon made it so sure that it could not leave me for a moment!
Isn't the setting moon
Like my broken heart?
It is sinking like a broken boat,
Which cannot find a nearby shore
It drowned like a tired swimmer,
I too am broken by labor and sorrow
We climbed together, we fell together,
But still we never parted ways!
The moon vanishes in the sunset,
I am in the lap of sleep,
He rises again, I wake up again
We increase and decrease every moment
I have tried again and again
The moon walked along with me!
He burns and extinguishes like me
Becoming the moon lamp of the evening and morning...
Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day 😊🙏 @vikbuddy
