The Week In Review for September 21,2024

It has been a wild week for Hive! I love seeing us above twenty cents again, it sure feels good! Hopefully we will be able to make the price level stick. What a difference a week can make...

I've not made too many changes over the past week to my long term goals on Hive. Principally because they are long term goals and market fluctuations won't really influence them. I have had a good week on my Hive Power again, and that dolphin status is so close I can almost taste it! So here we go again into a Saturday Savers post, it really has helped me focus in on achieving my Hive goals.

Lets jump into the numbers for this past week.

Hive Power

I've had a decent week in this category, not fantastic as far as my Hive Power. As of the time of writing up this post I'm currently at 4,702 Hive Power, which is an increase of 98 since last week. It puts me at 94% of my goal which is 5,000 HP before year's end. I'm hoping to hit the goal in the next three weeks which leaves plenty of room for "gravy" on top of the initial goal.

I am continuing to grow as organically as possible, and dolphin status is now clearly in view. If I can grow to dolphin organically in less than two years of blogging then anyone can. I want my story to help onboard new people and retain them. We need as many new people as possible to help Hive flourish!

DUO

Yes, I'm going to talk about DUO once again! It's a project I helped spearhead along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools with the goal of raising enough HP through the token sales and earnings to help onboard and retain new Hive members. We are still very early in the project and so far we have had great results. Those who buy and stake at least 200 DUO tokens can receive a daily curation on their quality posts and daily Hive dividends as well. For those with 500 or more DUO there is a tip bot available, and when you tip someone you in return receive the same tip amount in your account. I love being able to tip DUO!

I'm holding 954 DUO right now and I'm buying up more regularly. Right now the price is one Hive per DUO token until the tranche sells out then it jumps to 1.5. Our first batch sold out quickly and the second one is nearly halfway sold out. Get in early to maximize your investment and save money by getting in early!

PIMP

This is my secondary goal of the year and I still want to hit 50K PIMP. It's one of my favorite projects here on Hive. My buying did slow when there was a price jump and when we created DUO (not cheap to create a new token.) But I'm at 29.2 K this week mainly from curation rewards and tips. I'm hoping to make some nice buys to get me past the finish line before New Years.

Leo

Over a month ago I added this into my goals trying to reach 1,500 staked by years end. I have 1,114 total at the moment all from curation rewards. I think I should make it to the goal as long as I keep posting regularly.

HSBI

My goal was to achieve 2,000 HSBI this year, I've exceeded that goal by 782! I knew this goal was very attainable and when I surpassed it I wasn't too surprised. I didn't think I would have done it by so much though!

I'm up 38 units on the week, not too shabby!

Before I started to accumulate HSBI I had a grand total of eleven, this was just last year. So I decided to change that and started giving them away as part of a re-blog lottery. Eventually that just got old and was a lot of extra work every day. So now I just do a weekly contest and sponsor events by giving out HSBI prizes to the winners. SIM

I am still holding just over one million of these tokens and planning on buying up to two million by year's end. Token holders receive a daily Hive dividend which is a nice perk. If you place the tokens in a liquidity pool you get even more rewards from the pool plus they continue to pay the daily dividends on tokens in the LP. It's a pretty cool feature in my opinion! You can also play the dCity game as well using SIM to buy assets in the game.

Other Tokens

No big changes here, I am continuing to collect DBOND and DAB. I have both my DBONDs and DABs staked, so the staked DBOND produces more DAB, and the staked DAB produces more DBOND. So they are slowly growing. EDS I'm just continuing to hold just about 100 and don't foresee any big changes any time soon.

Silver

Silver has been showing a lot of strength over the past week. The chart almost looks like an EKG this week! Precious metals are climbing and I think they will continue to do so. There is so much uncertainty in the world right now with concerns of more conflict in the Middle East as well as fears the Ukraine/ Russia war will expand further into Europe kicking off World War 3. That will continue to drive precious metal prices upward.

Each week I like to spot light different silver coins and bullion available to invest in from around the world. Today it's the Canadian Maple Leaf because APMEX has a sale on them right now for just about $2.99 over spot price of silver. That's really good for the Maple Leaf!
