Splinterlands: My First Pit Challenge!

Today I got the opportunity to play the Pit Challenge, and I’ve been seeing posts from fellow warriors about it. After spinning the Lux Wheel, I was given the chance to play against any of the opponents:

• Easy: Al the Mountain
• Normal: The Big Leronski
• Hard: Eagle Libre

Since it was my first time, I settled for Easy and was set to face AL THE MOUNTAIN.

Splinterlands is no walk in the park,but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

Al the Mountain is one of the fighter bosses — a melee-attack monster with powerful abilities. I have seen different versions of Al the Mountain in terms of statistics and abilities, but the specific one I was about to face has 5 Melee Attack, 6 Armor, 35 Health, and 3 Speed.

It came with these three abilities:

Magic Deflect.Returns half of magic damage to the magic attacker.

Wingbreak.Attacks Flying units despite position restrictions and deals +2 damage to them.

Fury.Deals double damage to Taunt targets.

The total mana cost for the battle was 99 and you are to choose splinters from all the elements. The ruleset is standard( no change in game mechanics)

This was the lineup I assembled:

Summoner: Marlai Singariel

Tank position:Buns The Unseen.Melee attack

Second position: Great Bear Druid, Dual attack(melee/magic).

Third position: Water-Logged-Wizard, Magic attack.

Fourth position:Lunaki Howler,Magic attack.

Fifth position: Saltwater Mage, Magic attack.

Last position: Mystic Scaleweaver,Magic attack.

The system allowed me to choose from the newly introduced arena vanguard foundation cards. Hence,I chose Buns The Unseen.It was an interesting battle.

Buns The Unseen was instrumental in this win especially with its void armor ability.Hence,I used it in the tank position.I won at the end.

I still got 250 sparks for the victory. My total spark at the moment is over 19,649, when it gets to 30k,I would buy one of the arena vanguard foundation cards and most likely Buns The Unseen.I just love its abilities, especially the Void armor.

I already have,King Erminaz Twincleaver.I hope to get more pit challenge invite to face the other two boss fighters.That would be all for today.
