Lore/Backstory
According to Splinterlands lore, Prophet Rosa Ombros is a tribal leader and prophet of the Ujurak tribe (bluehair minotaurs). Her people came to Praetoria, and she received visions guiding her role in the conflicts. She embodies prophetic vision, leadership, and balanced power in the Water Splinter.
PROPHET ROSA.
Fellow Splinterlands fighters.
One of the most satisfying wins in this game comes when your opponent anticipates your strategy perfectly — and still falls to superior synergy. That's exactly what happened in this battle against Prophet Rosa.
My opponent clearly studied the meta (and possibly my recent battles) and brought a dedicated counter in the form of Anasth Soothsayer — a monster packing both powerful Tank Heal and Cleanse. A cleanser’s primary job is to strip away negative status effects like the Poison I rely on so heavily with Archon Cryptic. It was an impressive, thoughtful inclusion.
Yet, despite this preparation, the combination of multi-source Poison distribution, reliable Stun lockdown, and Cryptic’s global debuffs proved overwhelming. Poison spread across multiple enemy units faster than a single cleanser could hande, while Stun prevented timely removes or heals.
Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥.

FEATURED CARD:
Prophet Rosa is a 5 mana cost Rare Water Splinter Summoner (Tactics type) from the Rebellion edition set in Splinterlands. She is a Minotaur (specifically associated with bluehair minotaurs of the Ujurak tribe).
Prophet Rosa exemplifies the Archon Tactics system introduced in Rebellion. Unlike traditional summoners that apply broad team buffs, Tactics Archons let players make targeted decisions after teams are selected (in the Tactics phase):
Shield: Halves incoming melee and ranged damage (1 damage is negated to 0). Excellent for tanks or high-value units.
This flexibility—offense or defense based on the matchup—is her standout feature.

Battle, ruleset and Lineup.
The total mana cost for this battle was 74 and splinters are to be chosen from fire, water, earth and dragon. The rulesets are:
You can summon one wild unit.
All units void armor(magic damage hits armor before reducing health).
All units have bloodlust(+1 to all stats after dealing a killing blow).
My Lineup & Strategy (Cryptic Summoner).
Summoner: Archon Cryptic (Water/Death)
Full Lineup (Death-heavy focus for poison amplification):
My Opponent’s Lineup: Prophet Rosa’s Heavy Hitters.
Summoner: Prophet Rosa (Water)
Options: +2 Ranged to two units or Shield to one. A strong buff summoner, but vulnerable to the control elements of my Cryptic. In this battle he chose the option of +2 ranged to two units.
Opponent Team:
This was a quality lineup loaded with maxed monsters and strong abilities. On paper, it looked threatening—especially with Rosa’s ranged buffs and healing/support.

Battle:
Ambush round: in this ambush round,a lot of my monsters attack power were drastically reducd because of debuffs from some of my opponent monsters.
Not to bore you with so much battle screenshots, this is exactly what happened:
Cryptic’s global Blind and -1 Speed made many enemy attacks miss or land weakly. My Slow from Travesty compounded this.
Round 1,three opponent monsters already affected by poison.
Round 4,the cleanser Anasth soothsayer tried to keep up with the pace of removing poison from Slade, but Nephket had other plans for her.
Round 5, Commander Slade and Boring hobgoblin were the last to succumb to my strategy.

This victory against a fully loaded Prophet Rosa team highlights that in Splinterlands, synergy and consistent pressure often trump raw stats and levels.
Closing Thoughts & Call to Action
If you’re running Death/Water or hybrid teams, give Cryptic a serious look—especially with stun-capable finishers like Nephket and spread attackers like Gramel. The poison web is real, and it’s claiming Archons left and right.
