Hey Splinterlands fans! It’s me again @zoe01 and I have another Modern ranked match for you to enjoy! This time I used my Fire team against FARANDIL. I wanted to have a go using just 2 monsters and was interested to see if it would be strong enough to take on my opponents team! hehe 😂

Battle Rules

I had a mana cap of 27 and no special rules as I had Standard Modifier. I didn’t have any 2nd/3rd modifiers. I had all elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon). As I only had 27 mana, I decided to go with a smaller team and choose 2 monsters.

Team

I had fire element and choose just 2 monsters.

Summoner: Barthalamas

1st: Jolius Blast (Melee)

2nd: Vengeful Monk (Melee)

I chose Jolius Blast to go first and then Vengeful Monk. I was hoping that they would be able to last long enough to defeat my opponents team.

I knew it wouldn’t be easy as they had more monsters than me but I wanted to try it!

Battle

My opponent was FARANDIL and they had a team of 6. I knew I was going to have a tough time with them having a lot more monsters than me! 😂

The battle started and we started attacking each other. I was keeping an eye on my Jolius Blast as he was first in the team. I was pleased to see both my monsters were still alive.

We got to round 4 and the battle was still going! Jolius Blast had lost a bit of health but was still fighting. Vengeful Monk was fighting well too.

I was just a little curious to see how long they would last with so many enemies. My opponent still had monsters but my 2 were not giving up! hehe 😂

We got to round 7 and things were looking good for me! My opponent only had 1 monster left and My Team were still fighting. Jolius Blast had taken a bit of damage but Vengeful Monk was still there to help.

My monsters were attacking and we defeated the last monster! I was pleased to see the victory screen! 😂

I had won the match with just 2 monsters against my opponents 6! This was a great result for me with such a small team. I wasn’t expecting these 2 to fight so well!

I gained 82 Glint and 20 rating points in division 9. My rating went up to 380. I was pleased to get another win with Barthalamas. Going with just 2 monsters was a good choice this time! Maybe I’ll try this again with a small team in another battle to see if they can fight like this again against a different opponent. hehe
