Hey Splinterlands fans! It's me again @zoe01. I have another battle in the Pit Challenge for you! This time I challenged Eagle Libre to a Hard match. I selected 6 monsters to try and beat him. As the battle started everything went really well but I had no idea what was going to happen later. 😂

Battle Rules

This battle had a Mana Cap of 99 and I had the Standard Modifier. I had no 2nd/3rd modifiers. I had all elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death & Dragon). I had plenty of room to choose my monsters with the 99 Mana. I chose a team of monsters I felt would be strong enough to defeat Eagle Libre.

My Team

I had My Team ready.

Summoner: Vex Spellweaver

• 1st position: Buns the Unseen (Melee attack)

• 2nd position: Khan Feywest (Magic attack)

• 3rd position: Dread Tafarian (Melee attack)

• 4th position: Vaelok (Magic Attack)

• 5th position: Dire Bear (Melee attack)

• 6th position: Giam Root (Range attack)

I had a good balance of monsters. I had some melee, magic and range to give the best chance of beating Eagle Libre.

Battle

The battle began. Eagle Libre had some strong attacks but My Team were doing a good job. I was very happy with how the battle was going.

After Round 5 I had done well. My monsters were attacking and I had beaten Eagle Libre. We had finally beaten him but I had no idea he would return! I had no idea he could come back after being defeated. 😂

I then had to fight him again. This completely changed the game as I had already used My Team to defeat him. Hopefully my remaining monsters would be enough but this was much harder.

Even by round 18 I was struggling. I was beginning to realise My Team choice wasn't the best. I was able to defeat him once but not again.

And there I go! I had no idea this would happen. 😂 I thought I would be able to defeat him once but I should have known better. I was completely taken by surprise when he came back after dying and I lost.

I should have chosen better monsters for this. If I had a different combination I may have been able to handle him coming back and win.
