Four Rounds of Chaos and Six Survivors in Splinterlands

Hey Splinterlands fans! Its @zoe01 here again with another Modern ranked battle. In this battle I used my Earth team again against a player called VELARION. As I had won my last battle, I wanted to use my Earth team again, but I changed my team up a bit. I kept some monsters the same but swapped others for different ones.

Battle Rules

This battle had a mana limit of 57. I had chosen the Standard Modifer meaning that there were no special rules. No 2nd or 3rd modifiers. I had access to all 6 elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death and Dragon). I had a lot more mana to play with in this battle (57). Let me show you my team.

My Team

I chose a summoner of Aurelia to give my monsters +1 Health. I then chose 6 monsters.

My Team

Summoner: Aurelia (+1 Health)

  • 1st Position: Dread Tafarian (Melee attack)

  • 2nd Position: Mad Gearhead (Melee attack)

  • 3rd Position: Time Bandit (Magic attack)

  • 4th Position: Stonebind Matron (Magic attack)

  • 5th Position: Kicking Roc (Ranged attack)

  • 6th Position: Giam Root (Ranged attack)

I chose Dread Tafarian as my 1st monster as I wanted it to take the hits from my opponents front monsters. I had Mad Gearhead as my 2nd monster again. For my 3rd monster I chose Time Bandit. I wanted some magic monsters on my team. My 4th was Stonebind Matron. Kicking Roc was my 5th and finally Giam Root.

I didn’t use Vengeful Monk or Great Bear Druid this time. I chose Time Bandit and Stonebind Matron instead. I wanted to see how my team would do having 2 magic attackers. I also brought Giam Root back. I hoped that my front monsters would last long enough for the rest of my team to work. I had no idea what my opponent would have so I was just going to hope for the best hehe.

Battle

My opponent was VELARION. He had chosen very different monsters on his team. His 1st monster had 12 Health and 5 Armor so this made me a little nervous.

The battle started. My opponents front monster was taking damage however it wasn’t dying easily. My monsters were also taking damage.

However, some of my opponents monsters were starting to die. I was glad my team was doing well. But I wasn’t sure if I was going to win as his remaining monsters were attacking.

By Round 3 I was doing really well. My opponent had lost 3 monsters and only 3 were left. His 1st monster only had 3 Health and his other 2 had 4 and 3. All my monsters were still alive which surprised me a little.

My monsters managed to beat his last monster and I won the battle in 4 rounds!

I got 81 Glint and 40 rating points in Division 9. I was glad to add another win to my battle history. I was also glad that swapping my team around worked. Maybe I can keep playing Earth for a few more battles and see how far I can go hehe.

Have you ever won a battle in 4 rounds without losing any monsters in Splinterlands? Do you like using magic attackers on your Earth team or Melee monsters? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
