Hey Splinterlands fans it's @zoe01 speaking again. This time I went with my Earth team and picked five monsters for the battle. I was hoping they would do well together and give me another win. My team had to face quite a few attacks but they didn't give up easily. So let's see how this battle went hehe.

The battle mana was 45 and there were no special rules. The modifier was Standard and there were no second or third modifiers either. All elements were open including fire water earth life death and dragon. With 45 mana I had enough room to choose my team carefully. I decided to go with my Earth team and use Aurelia as the summoner. So let's look at my team composition.
I picked Aurelia as the summoner and selected five monsters for the battle.
My Team

Summoner: Aurelia
1st Position: Dread Tafarian (Melee attack)
2nd Position: Mad Gearhead (Melee attack)
3rd Position: Time Bandit (Magic attack)
4th Position: Anchor-Hex Adept (Magic attack)
5th Position: Giam Root (Ranged attack)
I put Dread Tafarian in the first position and Mad Gearhead right behind him. Time Bandit came in the third position while Anchor-Hex Adept and Giam Root took the last two spots. I went with this lineup and hoped they could handle the battle well. I didn't fill all the available positions but sometimes five monsters are enough if the team works well together hehe. Now let's get into the main course of the battle!

My opponent for this battle was FARANDIL. He brought five monsters to the battlefield. The battle started and both teams began attacking each other. I wanted to see if my team would win or not. So I just had to wait and see how things would turn out.
As the rounds passed both teams kept fighting. Some monsters were knocked out and the battle was taking longer than I expected. I kept watching my team because I wanted to see them make it to the end. Having fewer monsters meant I had to rely on the ones I picked and hope they could hold their positions.

By the 5th round several monsters had already been knocked out. My opponent's team was getting smaller but my team still had to keep fighting. I was hoping they would last long enough to finish the battle. It was nice to see them still standing even after taking attacks from the other side.

By the 7th round my opponent had only one monster left while my team was still fighting. Things were looking much better for me and I was getting excited to see the final result. My five monsters had managed to take down most of the other team. 😁

And there we have it victory! My team defeated FARANDIL in 7 rounds and I gained a reward of 81 Glint for the win. I also gained 40 rating points and reached 220 points in Division 9. I was happy with the result because I managed to win even though my opponent had brought strong monsters. Looks like my Earth team did a pretty good job this time hehe.

Do you pick five monsters for your battles or do you usually fill more positions when you have enough mana? Let me know in the comments below what you think.
