Hello fellow Splinterlands warriors, The grind is still on and I am back with a double-feature battle report to show you exactly how my latest push went. Guess what? I have been continuously testing my lineups and adjusting to different mana caps. To be honest, it's not easy to win when mana cap keeps changing and pushing through the ranks are more difficult. One match I'm winning the next I'm losing so it was a bit headache. Step by step, Silver II is becoming a reality. Let’s dive straight into the action!

A 79 mana cap gives you so much freedom to choose freely but the Rise of the Commons twist meant I couldn't rely on my usual legendary or epic cards. This is my first time playing with this ruleset and I have to pivot entirely to my best common and rare assets. I decided to choose my favourite summoner Thalgrimore, to lead the charge and immediately chip away at the enemy's health pool.
I faced off against an opponent named DIMATIXSX from the Crystal guild. Here is how I set up my 44/79 mana squad:

My opponent DIMATIXSX also brought Thalgrimore to the field and our cards looked incredibly similar but different placements. Right from Round 1 the battlefield became a heavy war of attrition. I think every single hit felt massive. My New Beluroc Aegis was knocked down in the beginning but the rest of my cards remained still. They successfully cleared up the opponents card. My lineup layout was decent and my placement strategy worked out beautifully. My cards were systematically taking down their remaining units one by one. It was a flawless execution indeed.

The Result: A spectacular VICTORY that yielded a massive +40 rating points, catapulting me straight up to a clean 1180 rating!

This was my last match, after playing for a while I found this incredible match. With low mana this match threw me into a difficult stage, I'm glad at least it was a Standard ruleset. No restrictions—just pure tactical drafting. I spent exactly 31/31 mana, maximizing every single point available.

Before I entered the arena I had noticed my opponent had leveled up his cards and I was already afraid that I may lose my match rates again. Because my cards are only level 1.
Still I went toe-to-toe with PITU71 from the Dark Templars guild, who brought the summoner Barthalamas level 2, he brought an aggressive Melee/Ranged lineup into the arena. But still I stayed loyal to Thalgrimore and brought a tightly-knit squad:

Even though PITU71 came out swinging with an aggressive setup of level 2, they only relied on raw attack power. In the opening rounds, it was a nail-biter as my Nim Guard Captain took some heavy hits and got eliminated at first. However, Thalgrimore’s health debuff proved to be the ultimate game-changer here. My attackers started picking them off before they could eliminate any other cards of mine. We completely outpaced their damage output and clearing their board while keeping my core team standing.

The Result: Another beautiful VICTORY! This clean win granted me +20 rating points, landing me exactly at the 1200 rating milestone! Silver II is literally right around the corner now!
After the grind of a total of 5 wins, it was time to get my daily rewards. I revealed the cards and got three fantastic units to my growing collection:

I genuinely enjoy using in my magic setups as you just saw in that second match. The climb through Silver III is incredibly satisfying and hitting 1200 rating feels amazing. I’m going to keep pushing hard to see if I can cross the threshold into Silver II before the season ends within 3/4 days.

What are your go-to lineups? I would love any kind of tips about strategies. Anyway, I'm still learning, pardon my mistakes. Feel free to share about your favourite lineups! and best luck for the battles in this season.

I see you perform well in frontier mode! As I said some time ago levels not matter much, strategy is more important 😀
Actually, I want to try other modes but at the moment I want to master in frontier properly then move to other modes.
Good choice!
Frontier is easy no much abilities to learn.
How long you play Splinterlands?
Weeks, months maybe years? ðŸ¤
