Hi Splinterlands lovers it's @zoe01 here again. This time I played another Modern ranked battle using my Earth team. I had monsters ready for battle and hoped that they will combine well against my opponent's monsters. My opponent had their own set of cards and this battle was a long one. I had to wait until the later rounds to find out who will win hehe. Let's see how this battle will unfold!

The battle mana was 47 and there were no special rules. The modifier was Standard and there were no second and third modifiers. All elements were open including fire water earth life death and dragon. With a total of 47 mana I had a lot to choose from and was able to get 6 monsters for my team. I chose Aurelia as my summoner and selected cards that I hope will survive the battle. Let's take a look at my team selection.
Aurelia was chosen as my summoner and I picked 6 monsters for the battle
My Team

Summoner: Aurelia
1st Position: Spellmonger (No attack)
2nd Position: Dread Tafarian (Melee attack)
3rd Position: Mad Gearhead (Melee attack)
4th Position: Time Bandit (Magic attack)
5th Position: Kanaaq Miner (Melee attack)
6th Position: Giam Root (Ranged attack)
I placed Spellmonger on the first position and Dread Tafarian right behind him. Mad Gearhead took the third position while Time Bandit was next. I put Kanaan Miner on the fifth position and Giam Root at the back. I wanted to give my team enough support to survive the battle even when things got rough. With a total of 47 mana I had to choose my monsters wisely and hope that they will work well together. Hehe let's get into the battle already!

My opponent for this battle was ENELYN. The battle began and both teams started attacking each other. I had 6 cards on my side and wanted to test how well they will combine against my opponents monsters. The first round was only the start of the battle and there was a long way to go before we can determine the winner.
As the battle raged on the monsters on both sides were getting destroyed. My team had to fight through the opponents monsters and keep on going even when they were almost wiped out. I was curious to see which team can hold on the longest since this battle was not an easy one hehe.

By Round 7 the battlefield was already cleared of most cards. Only a few were left on both sides and my team had 4 monsters standing while my opponent only had 2 cards left. The tides of battle were turning in my favor and it was only a matter of time before I can finally finish this thing off. I just had to wait a little longer and let my monsters do their job.

It was Round 8 and my enemy only had 1 card left while my 4 monsters were still alive. At this point I was already certain that I was gonna win this battle. My monsters had done an amazing job at wiping out most of my opponents team and it was only a matter of time before they can finish the last one off. It was such a relief to see that my team was able to hold on until the very end 😁

And there we have it a glorious victory! My team won the 8 round battle and I was awarded with 81 Glint for my win. I was also able to get 20 rating points and had reached 240 points in Division 9. I was so happy to see that my team made it through the battle and successfully wiped out my opponents team. Seems like my Earth team really did a good job this time hehe.

Do you prefer using 6 cards for your battles or do you pick lesser monsters depending on the mana? Let me know in the comments below what are your thoughts on this.
