Social Media Challenge - Captain Katie - The Captain That Leads Her Troops To Victory

Good day to all, blessed Christmas to everyone and hope that you spending quality time with your family and loved ones. In today's sharing, I will be sharing a match where the outcome is such a close one but also a match where we saw how Captain Katie, go against all odd and win a match. So without further ado, let's proceed with today's sharing.

Captain Katie

The above card is Captain Katie, a rare Gladius card from life splinter. Do not underestimate this card because when she grows, it will be really hard to take her down. Armed with snipe, this card will pick out first non melee card behind first position and she can easily clear out many of those weaker cards and start her growth process before becoming a menace to opponent. And in today's match, she is really creating havoc everywhere as she grew and overturn even a legendary Gladius card.

So let's dive right in to today's battle sharing.

Selection Analysis
In today's matchup, there is 3 choice available to us for this match, namely fire, life and dragon. And because it has the opportunity to use Gladius card, I used Life Splinter because I have it more established than Fire Splinter.

To lead the lineup, I call upon Bella Ratajowlski, whom is a Ulund bloodline archon for life splinter which gives deflect to every card and shield to every Ulund. And so we start off with the tank which will be the Saltwraith Buckhead as the tank which is of 7 mana but having a whole deal of stats and even boast a 4 melee damage. Following it is Mana Warden that will give it shield to make it hold up longer as a tank. And the next card is the ace of today's match, Captain Katie whom is able to grow with each card killed. The next card will be Meriput Mossmender whom possess repair to help sustain the card with armour longer. And after Meriput Mossmender comes Meriput Magician whom is responsible for healing the tank for sustaining as well. And last but not least, it will Calabash Sage which can hit 4 range attack. This is a simple concept lineup that prepare armour repair and healing and using Captain Katie and Calabash Sage as the bruiser.

Opponent used Barthalamas as archon which is a foundation fire splinter archon that gives the whole lineup +1 speed to enable them to strike before opponent retaliate. For the tank, opponent used Drybone Megalodonwhich is a high melee attack card and able to draw 2nd position card to strike with the flanking ability. Opponent did not make use of the flanking because the 2nd card itself has reach so flanking not useful for this, and the 2nd card in the lineup is Chaos Furybringer which can really hit hard on melee and have high speed. Following which is Groove Doomblade which is a crazy 5 attack card that also have sneak. The next card is a legendary gladius card Fina Voxom which has opportunity and even piercing with 4 melee attack. Following which is Chaos Evoker that hits for 2 magic attack and even have blast. Last but not least will be Kha'zi Conjurer which can hit for 4 range attack but have incendiary. A super melee heavy lineup that can really punish my lineup, how can I even survive much more reverse it? Let's go to the turn by turn synopsis to find out more.

Round by Round Synopsis

Round 1 - Fina Voxom with that lethal piercing strike punch through the armour of Meriput Mossmender and took it out, growing it stats through blood lust. Attacks on Calabash Sage also worn it down significantly. Not a good start and my opponent seem to become more intimidating.

Round 2 - While I did manage to take down opponent's tank Drybone Megalodon, things went even worse for me with Calabash Sage being taken out by sneak and Mana Warden being taken out by Fina Voxom bring its attack to 6 which will be a very big problem that is brewing. The only saving grace is that my Captain Katie manage to take out Chaos Evoker and started her own stat growth.

Round 3 - This is crazy Fina Voxom just took out my Meriput Magician with ease and further grew itself to 7 attack. Thankfully, Groove Doomblade missed its attack, allowing me Saltwraith Buckhead to tank another round. Captain Katie also continue to grow by smashing Kha'zi Conjurer to death.

Round 4, a very simple round whereby my Captain Katie zapped Groove Doomblade to become 6 magic damage while Vina Foxom struck my Saltwraith Buckhead.

Round 5 and 6, Vina Foxom killed Saltwraith Buckhead in round 5 but took a big damage from Captain Katie. And in round 6, because Captain Katie has enough health to sustain, she took a hit then return the favour to land a killing blow on Vina Foxom to bring the lineup to victory!

Battle Summary
This was a really close call in terms of the match and it could swing either way should the missed attacks hit instead. It was crazy as the Vina Foxom is really having such a crazy attack with piercing and took out so many of many cards. And with each card taken out, it just keep growing. This almost become a rat race to see who can grow our cards faster in stats. No matter, this match really showed how strong Captain Katie is and that in tough situations can really punish opponent card hard and bring home a win!
