Prelude
Good day to all, how are you doing this lovely Friday and it is time for another battle sharing where I go up against tough cards, tough matches or share how certain abilities give strong advantage to win. Today, I will be sharing a match where we have a ruleset that recently I have seen quite a bit and would like to do a sharing on how I beat my opponent by doing almost nothing whom even use Nidhoggr as archon.
Collateral Damage
![]()
All units have reckless.
Reckless is "Each successful attack also deals 1 damage to adjacent allied units."
Why do I say in my title that doing nothing beats doing something? In this particular ruleset, the more we attack, the more damage the cards do to its neighbours and essentially, a lineup can just crack from within. So if you see my choices today, I will use more cards that do not have attacks.
And let's go right into today's battle sharing.

Selection Analysis
In today's matchup, there were 2 splinter choices available to us for this match, life or dragon. For my own collection, Life Splinter tend to do better so I just used Life Splinter.
To lead the lineup it will be Bella Ratajoulski, Ulund bloodline archon from life splinter. I like this card alot because it gives deflect to all friendly units, making them blast proof, thorns proof etc. And the best thing is that, it gives shield to Ulund bloodline which makes them tougher to kill. So first in my lineup is Ulundin Overseer, boosted by archon with shield, this card has no attack and has a super big health and armour and allows flanking. And because of the flanking my position 2 card can strike my opponent and I had Mana Warden in that position. I forget that my archon can do the same as what it can for Ulund, but this card actually also gives shield to the card in front of it. The next card that follows is Nimbledook Explorer which gives additional armour with the protect skill and also has no attack. I planted Saltwraith Buckhead in the middle of the lineup because I also didn't want it to strike so keep it deep and be a meat shield to absorb damage from the next card which will be the "bruiser" for my lineup. This card is actually Meriput Magician which attacks for 1 magic and heals the tank of the lineup. Last but not least, another meat shield just in case opponent choose to strike from the rear, Conclave Artificer whom has no attack as well. A very docile lineup with almost nothing that can strike.
Opponent apparently on the other hand had come with blood in mind and fielded a strong lineup to take me out quickly and used a strong archon Nidhoggr. To lead my opponent's lineup, opponent used Saltwraithe Buckhead with massive attack but might get exhausted. The next card that my opponent used is Palimpest Prophet that has charge and able to strike from 2nd position. Following which is foundation range attacker Grand Consul Minion and a Pixie Knife Hurler that has range attack with close range embedded. Last but not least, it is Mindless Thrall with the phase and its strong magic attack.
Opponent came with intent and go all out offence, while on the other hand, I went on a hermit mode and not wanting to do much.
Let's see how doing nothing do its job in this matchup.
Round by Round Synopsis
Round 1 - Due to the way I setup my lineup and equalizer balancing out all the health, it is a relatively quiet round with no casualties found.

Round 2 - Yet another boring round with no action but health is slowly coming down.

Round 3 - Wow, this is a little slow to start, but I can see that opponent is "ahead" of me in terms of lowered health.

Round 4 and 5, Across this 3 rounds, we still did not see any movement but we are almost there with some cards going as low as 2 health with my Ulundin Overseer holding strong.

Round 6, Suddenly everything came to life as we saw the wreckage begin. Multiple cards just fell to their attacks from their adjacent cards and fell, leaving only 2 cards remaining on my opponent end.

Round 7-9, It was a little brawl as my lineup slowly chew up my opponent and most of the lineup remained with a strong victory. Outlasting my opponent as they self kill each other within their lineup.
Battle Summary
This is the crazy way of playing whereby we almost absolutely did nothing. However, we cannot be totally doing nothing, there are a few keys here. First is that we will need a healer to outlast. Tank heal or corrupted heal, just get it on. Next is to also boost some armour if you can as it will come in really handy. And finally, you cannot win a match without cards with attack as when your opponent final card has no peers to damage, you will still need to find something to take it out. Do not just happily place all the no attack cards in a lineup.
