As they say, one of the most exciting parts of every Splinterlands battle is the ruleset twist. The ruleset can ruin your tried and tested strategy, the ruleset can render your best performing cards useless, and you can't make any progress in the game without learning to adapt quickly to the ruleset. So this week's πCommunity Engagement Challenge,π focuses on mastering those rulesets that can make or break a match! π₯
https://ecency.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-community-engagement-challenge-ruleset-revelationsI will not say that I have mastered this ruleset because for that I still have a lot to learn and practice, but I can say with confidence that if I face an enemy of my level, then under this ruleset with the cards available in my deck, I can make a team that can give a tough fight to the enemy. This ruleset is as simple as its name. All cards under Holy Protection get Divine Shield, which can ignore all damage once, after which this protection gets destroyed. Some things to keep in mind are that Divine Shield also gives protection from Blast and Thorns damage once, after which the shield gets destroyed. Apart from this, the divine Shield will be re-applied when a card is resurrected.
The main idea is to prepare your team to attack first, and that too to inflict heavy damage. I prefer to use Archon's ability to attack first. And to ensure that the attacks are deadly, I add almost all types of heavy attackers to the team and also try to give extra power to a particular type of attack by using a card's special ability. Another thing that I used in today's battle and it turned out to be quite profitable, was that I also placed a card with a Protect ability among other attackers. See, when we know that our cards can cause heavy damage, it becomes even more important that they should be able to stay on the battlefield for a longer time. In such a situation, powers like extra protection or additional health are very useful.
Most of the time under this ruleset, I summon Avina of the wolf Archon of the Life element. If in a certain situation you are not able to choose the Life element, then I would say you should focus on building a good team with the main idea of ββthe strategy. Avina of the wolf gives +2 Speed ββto any 2 cards of your choice or Healing ability to any one card of your choice. I mostly go with +2 Speed, because having great, deadly cards, and if you can also attack first, then you can build heavy pressure on the enemy right from the beginning.
This is how the battlefield looked after the powers were distributed to the Archons and other cards. I won't give you details about each individual card because this challenge is not about the powers of the cards but about the twist in the ruleset. Even with that twist, you still need a great team to win. But in ruleset battles, cards are not chosen based on their powers but on how well they perform in harmony with the ruleset.
Let me tell you in a quick overview that I have placed a heavy and strong melee attacker with True Strike ability at the front of the lineup. He is followed by another heavy melee attacker who is fully capable of performing attacks from the second position due to his reach ability, and his Kindred Spirit ability gives True Strike ability to the adjacent cards. In third place is a magic attacker whose Inspire ability increases the power of the team's attackers by +1 melee. In fourth place is a non-attacker whose job is to protect the whole team with +2 armour. In fifth place is a heavy magic attacker who has default Divine Shield, and in sixth place is a heavy, strong and fast range attacker who has Dodge ability.
As you have seen, my team has more heavy attackers than the enemy team, and at the same time, the speed of most of the cards in my team is also the best. The combination of these two can give you an edge right at the beginning of the battle, especially if your whole team together performs back-to-back attacks on the same enemy card and its result is in front of you above.
These are the two victims of Pallus' heavy attack in Rounds 2 and 3. Hopefully, now you can see the benefits of the strategy. When your cards are focused in one place and the attacks are heavy, it will be impossible for the enemy to escape. If you understand from the beginning, your first attack on the enemy will destroy his Divine Shield and all the attacks after that will not give him a chance to stand.
By the fourth round, the enemy was down to its knees and in contrast, my team is still standing strong after losing only one card. But let me tell you again that you can choose any other cards and Archon provided you follow the strategy because on the battlefield, it is not the names of the cards but their performance that speaks. I would recommend watching this battle in its entirety through the link, as seeing every action and its reaction will allow you to fully enjoy and understand it properly.

The way you have discussed every important point is very easy to understand for a new player like me. Your strategy of tricking the ruleset is great, I will definitely use it in my battles too. :)
I feel my writing is successful if the readers like it and they also get to learn something from it. Of course you can also adopt this strategy, it proves to be very effective on Battlefield.
