As they say, every Splinterlands match is a story of choices, counters, and strategies - some of which leave us heroic by beating the villain to the end, and some have a slightly sad ending with defeat. But that doesn't diminish the importance of the story, and in this week's πCommunity Engagement Challenge,π we're going to write about one of those stories, discussing our choices, battle strategies, and more. So stay tuned!π₯
Above, you can see the battlefield after Archons granted powers to their teams. My team is undoubtedly strong in terms of power, but I made a mistake in my lineup that's worth mentioning: I included the Ambush card in the team, but in the wrong spot. The fundamental rules of melee attacks state that melee attackers without certain abilities cannot perform attacks from anywhere in the lineup except the first position. I thought Ambush was one of those abilities, and because of this misunderstanding, this card, placed in the third position, was unable to perform an attack.
Above, you can see the power of speed, or should I say, the combination of attack power and speed. What good is simply attacking first if its impact isn't powerful? In the screenshots of the two rounds above, you can see the powerful attack of my second line of defence, the grey card Pallus, at the beginning of the round, whose impact knocked out an enemy card in just two attacks.
Look, if it is a battle, then both sides suffer losses, but the difference lies in who ultimately wins. Here, at the end of the second round and then in the third round as well, both the opponent and I suffered some losses. Additionally, in the fourth and fifth rounds, Pallus wreaked havoc on two cards of the opponent. You see, in the meantime, the enemy has also attacked equally and technically one card of my team is not even performing the attack, but still, till this time my team has put a lot of pressure on the opponent, and this pressure continues like this throughout the battle.
These are not just the two victims of Pallus. This card certainly gave a heroic performance in this battle by staying on the battlefield until the end and knocking out the most cards. My card with the Ambush ability didn't perform a single attack in the entire battle, which is a lesson to be learned because if this card had been active, the enemy would have been dealt with much earlier. In any case, a single card's failure due to a wrong lineup can cause significant problems. While your cards are certainly good, their lineup is equally important; otherwise, even your best cards are useless on the battlefield.
By the end of the fifth round, the enemy was down to its knees and in contrast, my team is still standing strong. But let me tell you again that with great cards you also need to positioned them correctly otherwise as I just said even your best cards are useless on the battlefield. Also, I would recommend you to watch this battle in its entirety through the link, as seeing every action and its reaction will allow you to fully enjoy and understand it properly.
