Here is another interesting battle that I played just a short while ago. This battle featured a Mana cap of 59 and a total of three rulesets. The first was 'Shapeshift,' which opened up a wider range of options for card selection, allowing any card to be utilized to support any Bloodline. The second ruleset was 'Up Close & Personal,' which restricted card selection in this battle exclusively to Melee cards. The third ruleset was 'Briar Patch,' which equipped every card with the 'Thorns' abilityβcreating an extremely challenging situation for you on the battlefield. Why? Because you cannot deploy any cards other than Melee units, and since every unit possesses the 'Thorns' ability, every single Melee attack triggers a retaliation, inflicting an additional 2 points of damage in return.
Until now, whenever I encountered this situation, I used to focus on heavy melee attackersβreasoning that while I might take 2 points of health damage from Thorns, if I could deal double that amount of damage back to the enemy, it would inflict significant harm upon them and pave my way toward victory. However, I recently learned about a different ability called "Deflect," which provides a shield to cards against Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire, and Blast splash damage. Well, while the description itself is sufficient to explain what it does, if you want to see it in action, check out the short video aboveβit is a screen recording of this very battle.

In case you didn't notice, let me point out that thanks to the 'Deflect' ability, my cards were completely shielded from 'Thorns' damage in retaliation to any of their attacks. However, the opposing team did not enjoy this advantage; which is why, when it was their turn to attack, 'Thorns' inflicted -2 ββdamage upon every single one of their cards in retaliation to each of their attacks. This marks the first time I have utilized the 'Deflect' ability against 'Thorns,' and this single, minor strategic adjustment has yielded quite surprising resultsβresults that are manifold superior to my previous strategy. I hope you found this post to be a valuable learning experience. Thank You!

What a brilliant strategy, first you understood the rulesets and you chose Hanv as your summoner, who in turn grants deflect to all friendly units at the start of battle.Nice one warrior, that was outstanding,I must say.
